It's like going to school in this life preparing ourselves for a lucrative career in the next.

Why do you continue to insist that evolution must replace Christianity if it's to be valid? Evolution is a theory that explains the diversity of life. That infringes upon your faith because it shows that mankind wasn't created specially in some god's image. That's only a problem if you insist upon trying to take the Bible literally. As you do. Well, whenever convenient for you.

But to insist that a scientific theory that explains how life changes should somehow try to explain your religious dogma?

Christianity runs on the doctrine known as Original Sin, which is explained in Genesis 3.

From Original Sin, we get the sister doctrine of the Adamic Nature; and from those come the doctrine of Vicarious Sacrifice.

All hinge on Adam being a literal human being.

Hm... That's something every Christian needs to ponder.

Is a seccession from YEC by all future Christians, then, the death knell for Christianity? Or will Christianity, then, have to adopt an allegorical Christ in exchange for a literal one? And does that change the plan of salvation or the ultimate reconcilation with the Divine Creator or our ability to attain perfection if Jesus is decided to be a metaphor for something more relative and personal such as the redemtive act of self actualization?

Will it, as it always has, simply adapt because it is the moral theme that is important and not the veracity of the stories themselves?


Or, do you think that all these GAP and Theistic Evolutionists have already thrown the baby Jesus out with the bathwater since they effectively make the purpose of salvation null by dismissing Adam and the events around him as being allegory?

In turn, can you demonstrate that Adam was, in fact, a literal human being? Since the whole Faith in it's current state hinges on this one premise, it is kinda important that the premise is able to be substantiated, yes?
