who says Paul's words are those of Jesus? I don't think even Paul claimed THAT... though feel free to correct me, Chapter and verse please?
But He does claim to be speaking with the Holy Spirit, which is part of God is it not? IIRC there are passages that he refers to himself speaking for himself specifically, as to not be confused with the God-inspired scripture.
Amen! Paul was called by Jesus and set in as apostle by Him. He speaks with ALL the authority of Jesus Christ Himself---as do we all who know Him and walk with Him in the anointing of the Holy Spirit! Whoooooo hoooooo!God is awesome, eh?
Well yes Paul did claim that, in fact Paul says when it is his view and not the Lord’s. Paul writes that he didn’t receive his revelation and gospel from humans but from the risen Lord Jesus. Galatians 1.who says Paul's words are those of Jesus? I don't think even Paul claimed THAT... though feel free to correct me, Chapter and verse please?
Not so. I am a Christian and Iike many here I believe a Christian is one who believes the Bible is basically God’s word and sufficient as a rule and standard of faith and in all matters of faith and conduct. see the forum FAQ'sHuh? How is debating in a debate forum pushing anything down people's throats? It's doing what the forum is here for, the same as what you are doing. All orthodox christians do
btw, what you still doing here? All you do is try to force your unbiblica beliefs down peoples throat Do you actually think you are convicing christians ?
To me a Christian is someone who tries to follow the teachings of Jesus.
No, a Christian is someone who's repented of their sin and has accepted Jesus Christ as both Lord and Saviour of their life.
David.

There is a long tradition of people who have called themselves Christians who have seen the significance of Jesus in his teachings, not in his death. One could call them Jesus followers, and that would certainly be accurate. They called themselves Christians. I am a Christian in that tradition. You can call me a Jesus follower if you want to. I have no objections to your use of that terminology. I call myself a Christian.Hi prof,
You probably already know what I'm going to say, but I'll say it again anyway.
The term Christian is defined as a follower of Christ. The term Christ means deliverer, messiah, and in this case is synonymous with the Son of God.
If someone does not believe that Jesus is the Christ, that He was only a mortal man who is long dead now, then for them to use the term "Christian" is misleading, as it implies "Christ-follower". If someone follows a man, lets say buddha for instance, does that not make them a buddhist? If one follows Christ then they are a Christian, and if one follows Jesus (but denies His Christhood) then they are a Jesus-follower.
I do not focus on his death or on what may have happened afterwards. I do not believe in a literal resurrection, as I have said.
Ohioprof, I totally reject your claim that Jesus was not literally resurrected from the dead. I will bring to fact that to inject doubt into this kind of faith of mine and others is to attack our whole faith in Christ as our Lord and Saviour, who takes away the sin of the world, and the idea of the cross as a bridge to reconcile man back to God.
I would never attack your faith. I am a Christian also. I just don't believe all the same things that you do. Saying that is not attacking your faith; it's telling you about my understanding of faith.Ohioprof, I totally reject your claim that Jesus was not literally resurrected from the dead.
