SOLUTION: Don't talk about the sexual aspects. Any teenager with half a brain and an education in health class could probably easily figure it out for themselves though. BAFRIEND, you have no base here. Since you say "Well we have no right!", no you don't. You also have no right to kick out the younger crowd so you can talk about something in a light I don't believe you should be anyway.

Your sort of "HOMOSEXUALITY DID THIS" threads are the only reason they should kick out the younger crowd. And frankly, your threads are unnecessary anyway.

This is an educational environment. I strongly doubt that this will be an issue, if anything, parents should be proud that their children are able to come up with an opinion.

It sounds to me like 2 Kings was talking about a group of youth being disrespectful. I'm not being disrespectful, or atleast I'm trying not to be. I'm doing everything accordingly.

1 Timothy 5:1:
" 1 Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers, "

But one thing that I don't appreciate is that you tried to take the little representation of people under 18 out of this thread by telling them youd ignore them. Don't you think that that's closed minded and that if it's about us we should have the ability to defend our point of view?

I am becoming more and more alarmed about the number of minors posting on sexual inuendo and controversial debates on this forum.

Some of the personal information and input they offer is really inappropriate.

I am going to add any under 18 who posts here on my ignore list and hope CF decides to look into this and revise the rules.

Would a petition be more effective or does this existing poll act as one itself? Anytime sexual content is insinuated, eluded to or manifests as a general topic all minors should be removed from the discussion. There are no ratings on the sex in here and there should be a firewall of somesort or password with proof of age before explicit topics exist in the threads.

What is a minor when it comes to talking about sex? Kids develope at a different ages. Although I'm a gay man I do belive that any sex "talks" should take place between a child and a parent (if the child feels comfortable) until that child is 13 or 14 years old...then I feel that the child is old enough to seek out someone that they can trust to discuss issues with. By that time they are going to have heard the "details", many of them wrong, from their friends.

Just saw a clip on "CNN" about a couple that was having to cope with their 7 year old son that was "transgender". The parents noticed that at the age of 18 months old that their son was "different"...he was the youngest of 6 boys. It was inspiring to watch this couple (Although the father was having great difficulty) to start raising their "boy" as a girl. The child was very articulate throughout "her" story about knowing that she was trapped in a boy's body, but after her parents came to accept him for her how much happier she had become.

So I feel that a child at this age needs somewhere to go to a safe place, to get their feelings out, without being judged.

Being a newbie I do have one question. When an open forum like this does not go the way of "standard" Christian teachings why is it closed?

Why don't you go to a gay forum and see what happens when you post you are a Christian and see what kind of a reception you get ? And, in general the reception you would get in just about any non-Christian public forum.

That is why the homosexual topic and non-Christians are not supposed to be posting on most of the forums on CF. Posts and threads are in a Christian context without having to get torn down by visitors.

There are hundreds if not thousands of sights for non-Christians to go and cuss and talk graghically about sex. Go there, don't break forum rules and misrepresent yourself on CF.

maybe you can try and go to Storm front, the right wing facist site and see how well they tolerate dissent.

THe people in here don't want it closed, they want there to be an age restriction.

If there truly are laws forbidding sexual talk with "minors" then include it in the Terms and Conditions that there are sexual topics in the forum.

Thats what they do on TV and in movies, they don't outlaw it, they warn about it.

You may ask, how do we know parents will read it? We don't, but neither do the people who create TV shows and movies.

No one has suggested that it is okay to be sexually suggestive to minors. However, open, truthful, factual, and scientific discussion has been presented as possibly being beneficial.

We're not talking about sex. We're talking about ethics, morality, and philosophy. And we're not talking young children, but people in their very late teen years who enjoy lively and respectful debate.

If I didnt know any better I believe you were being crude with me plus your statement was vague and did not make much sense. Can you re-iterrate your statement. So I can clearly be insulted. Also I thought I was on a Christian site responding to a concern another Christian had; then people started being crude and attempting to appease those who are in a sinful lifestyle.

And an FYI- It is a federal law that prohibits one from discussing sexual topics with a minor under the age of 16 without parental permission in writing. So lassy do your homework before you chastize my words!
