Have you tried Vegsource or Ebay for used curriculum?
A lot of homeschoolers use those to buy and sell.

Christian Light sells those of their textbooks that have slight defects, for a discounted price. (I have never noticed the defects either!) If you are interested I can give you the contact information. (They are Anabaptist.)

Is it expensive to homeschool children? I may want to do this in the future.

It can be as expensive or inexpensive as you choose to make it. I was homeschooled, along with my four siblings, and my family had a very tight budget all the way through, but we really learned in spite of that!

I homeschool my girls and I use the Abeka curriculum.
They're very organized, I like that, especially because I work full time.
