Kinda like a rose garden, isn't it. Folks only want to talk about the beautiful rose and no other asoect of the garden. Guess that is one of the things that isintriguing about this to me. Because God is drawing us. He covets beings who finally, freely, reverse Adam & Eve's decision within themselves. We can't do this on our own but He still wants our striving, our consent, our participation. He doesn't need it. He can elect to save us any which way He wants-He could've saved A&E immediately after the fall. He could've made them obedient. But then what would've been the point of giving man free will to begin with? Our wills are the "prize", so to speak; to align them with His will, gruelingly, if that's what it takes (because hard lessons are one thing this life provides), has something to do with the glory God desires for man.

Man's righteousness must come from God. All righteousness comes from God. By disobeying God, Adam & Eve began to operate according to their own righteousness, determining good and evil for themselves. Through the Cross, mans "righteousness" is exposed for the evil it is-filthy rags worn in place of the genuine thing, the true perfection or righteousness God created for man to wear. He wants us to wear it again-adorned with the innocence He always intended.

I don't think it is the judging at all. It is more like every one doesn't take his view. It is his way to get others to back out of their position when nothing else works. It is plying the rules of the forum to manipulate.just for the record, you don't like judging, rom 14...
But really, how we gonna snatch em, if we don't judge them as unsaved?
Often unsaved say they are "ok" , do ya believe em and walk away, or make a judgment call? And if they are unsaved, you would have to be in a sense judging them to condemnation, just like how Paul did, for 1-3 of Romans. So just sayin,..there is a place for all things, at the right time, even judging.
Paul does talk elsewhere about "synergy", ie we cooperate with what God does. (So of course we could also not cooperate ...)

Before i go let me just say that observing Sabbath is not a sin, but not being a doer of the word is. Whats more important?
I understand. I have argued against the extreme end of security, saying they have become robots, by the total complete detachment of themselves from it all.
I lean total security, total grace, but yes, there are scriptures that show people leave, they make a decision, and turn away, like in Hebrews.
I guess it is hard to imagine leaving the Lord, that's why the other night I said, "insanity is in the flesh", meaning one has to be insane, to want to leave God.
You're not in a lone boat. Many (especially the older people) are leaving the organized church for this very reason.Some might describe the decision I'm in the process of making as leaving God.
I have become quite a fatalist lately, and that is resulting in my not seeing the need to go to church all the time, or sit around debating theology or doctrine (except for around here, I guess).
I have a longer story to tell that brought me to this decision, but I just bring it up because of what you say here, and that I don't think I'm insane.

Sounds pretty self condemning to me.
One major thing that I think that is widely misunderstood is one of the effects that the Gospel had early on. Imagine yourself being a new believer and being told that you do not have to follow the levitical laws. One natural assumption to make is that there is no law and act accordingly (ref 1 and 2 Corinthians), but in reality this is lawlessness.
We are not called to lawlessness, but the law of Christ. (Gal 6:2) So much of what the Apostles wrote was their reaction to the misconception of absence of law.

It is talking about the assembly of believers, isn't it?Speaking of which, as you leave your church, they will quote Heb 10:25, not realizing the contextual meaning, as they try to hook you in, using the letter to kill. I'm just guessing, don't know your exact situation, but that is a common pastoral ploy.
NOPE! why should anyone be concerned in leaving the social club. The qualifiyer is the assembly of believers within the context.Aren't you guys a bit concerned with forsaking the assembly, Heb 10:25 and all? Just asking.
I don't know about you, but I'm not facing the same kind of seclusion and opposition to meeting with fellow believers that the author of that line was, so my choices are naturally going to look a little different than his. All my friends are believers, so every evening out with the pals is an assembly, so I don't see myself forsaking anything.
Yeppers the problem is the flesh.The problem with unifying with a system that has an institutionalized hierarchy is that we are expected to respect the authority of that hierarchy. We don't, so it just doesn't work.

Sure when you see it my way.Brothers, this sparring is no good. We need to come together in agreement, we need to love one another in truth, we need to humble ourselves and love one another. I feel like i must leave because this stuff is hurting my walk with God.
