  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey there!

This is my first time on this message board. Just leaving a message to say hi. As a teenager I was very active on IRC servers in Christian channels/chatrooms, and later I transitioned to message boards and loved the discussions and friendships I'd developed. I'd love to find a place to discuss the Bible with like-minded folks and this website came up as one of the first options in a Google search lol.

Anyway, been a Christian since I can remember. I became a practicing Christian in my mid-teens and got heavily interested in the Bible thanks to an honest Bible-teaching ministry I'd discovered at the time. I consider myself an independent Christian Bible student, but not much of a church-goer (perhaps I should attend more though). God bless, all! I look forward to jumping into the discussions! Awesome! Nice to meet you. I took about a ten year hiatus from message boards, except for one I'd stop by and say hello in very rarely but that's it. I recently got on facebook, but, unfortunately, discussions between people on facebook are tiny chit chats and nothing really meaningful.

The fear of the Lord Jesus Christ is the beginning of the knowledge of God: and this knowledge is by the word of God coming out of the Son of God in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the king James bible.
