  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So says Rome.

Jesus warned us of such things:

Lourdes is Holy Site that has turned many of thousands of people towards God.

To even imply it's lie it's and attributed to other then God is making the unpardonable sin. The only other logical conclusion if not of God then it's of Satan

You are putting your soul in very grave danger but it is yours do do as you please.

That's what hate does. Put's souls in danger.

Love saves.

I pray that the hate that you have towarsd the Catholic Church will be overcome by the grace of God

Peace

I'm sure God's grace has overcome many false teachings in bringing people to Him....regardless of the denominational source of the teachings.

And what verse of scripture do you use to come to this conclusion?

I pray that the hate that you have toward the Catholic Church will be overcome by the grace of God

Why is it that anytime a Christian disagrees with the Roman Catholic church, it must be because they hate the church? Isn't it even remotely possible that we disagree with Roman Catholicism because so many of it's teachings and practices are Unbiblical?

Lourdes is Holy Site that has turned many of thousands of people towards God.

Personal opinion.

In reality, you have no way of knowing if anyone was genuinely turned to God because of Lourdes. Unless you are God and know their hearts, and I don't think that is the case.

To even imply it's lie it's and attributed to other then God is making the unpardonable sin.

That is only your personal opinion.

You are putting your soul in very grave danger

Not hardly.

That's what hate does. Put's souls in danger.

So stop hating.

Godly love opposes false religion.

There you go playing the "H" card and the victim card again.

It can be counted on that when aspects of Roman Catholicism is scrutinized, challenged and opposed, that one of the typical Roman Catholic responses is to try to demonize by playing the "hate" card, the "anti-Catholic" card, the "bigot" card, and then play the victim card.

As long as Roman Catholics espouse Roman Catholic doctrines and practices that are anti-Biblical, they will be met with scrutiny, challenges and opposition, yet there is a doublestandard used, where the Roman Catholic reserves the right to espouse their religion, but any scrutiny, opposition and dissent is not to be tolerated.

Why are Roman Catholics so anti-freedom?

So why do you blindly trust everything Rome tells you, even though Rome has contradicted itself repeatedly over the centuries?

It seems that you are one of the resident experts on Roman Catholicism.

So, tell us something, why is it that the Apostles, nor any of the early church fathers ever taught a single thing about the dogmas of the immaculate conception and assumption of Mary, and that those teachings did not appear anywhere until taught by the heretical cult of the Gnostics?

Yes, that's right, and that is what led the Roman church into grevious errors.

The Roman church uses "viva voce, sola roma", whatever Rome says at the time it needs and can change it at any time to suit whatever it's present agenda is.

The cult of mary was actualy born out of a legitamate desire for people to grow closer to Christ. Although these people could not read they wanted to be able to pray the litany of the hours.

Born out of this was the rosary or prayer rope to which these pesants were able to "pray without ceasing" this brought them of course closer to Christ threw their continued prayer in their daily lives.

As the Rosary expanded and began to take a life of its own the cult of Mary continued to grow and blosom. This cult was created and formed in order to draw humble pessants closer to Christ threw the loving arms of his mother.

Why do you fear what you do not understand? Why do you sit on a message board all day spiting in peoples faces?

We do not believe in Sola Scriptura. We believe in a real living God who has the freedom to change and evolve however He sees fit. The Rosary is a child of that evolution of the body of Christ growing to love and adore its Father in new and exciting ways.

You do follow the doctrines that are taught to you...<staff edit>

Why do you care so much anyway? Maybe you should worry more about your own soul and leave the souls of others up to them?

Oh and where in the Bible does it say "take these words verbatim and never EVER find faith and hope in anything else?"

Your scrutiny does not scare me or weaken me. Christ said they would persecute......maybe you would be wise to chide your anger and find more constructive none destructive ways to serve the master?

LOL. Rome does not base it's doctrines on the Scriptures, or that would be sola scriptura.

Neither does Rome base it's doctrines and practices on the "unanimous consent of the fathers" as it claimed at Trent and Vatican I, because Rome readily admits that the dogmas of the immaculate conception and assumption of Mary were never, ever taught by the Apostles or the early church fathers.

No, Rome bases it's doctrines and practices on whatever Rome says they are, ie-"Viva Voce, sola Roma".

Luther ordered the masacre of thousands of pesants.....that means protestantism is born on the hands of a murdered (see how that blanket statment is just assanine?)

Which has absolutely nothing to do with anything I presented.

Please learn how to read in context. It will make actual communication possible.

Now, none of what you just said has anything to do with the poser I presented you, not a single thing.

We do not believe in Sola Scriptura. We believe in a real living God who has the freedom to change and evolve however He sees fit.

So, you have a god that evolves, eh?

That sounds just like the Mormon god.

It certainly is not the God of the Bible and Christian faith, Who is Immutable.

I think there are a number of your Roman Catholic brethren who will cringe when seeing that your god evolves.

You do follow the doctrines that are taught to you.

Yes, I follow the doctrines that are taught to me by the Scriptures.

Yet, you and Roman Catholics blindly follow what Rome tells you in opposition to the Scriptures.

Your scrutiny does not scare me or weaken me.

Then why do you and Roman Catholics try to squelch scutiny and opposition as Rome has done for centuries?

It's a good thing Rome can't burn us who oppose Romanism at the stake any more.
