• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is life? I dont know I feel so down its unbelivable Im trying guys I really am. Its not going to be like this for ever, but it just feels like ever now. Im on my own I shouldnt be on my own should I?!!!Ive blown it BIG time. :( :cry: :cry:Cant sleep cant do anything. Is there anyone there..

Jo1, please try to remain positive! God created you for a purpose! Life doesn't have to feel that bad. If you want to know what life is, I encourage you to read your Bible. It's really, really helped me get out of some deep depression.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:11-13

Psalm 103 is a great Psalm to study when feeling this way.

Please cry out to God for a sense of purpose, and take a moment to realize what He's already blessed you with. Being grateful and praising Him despite the circumstances can really empower you to enjoy your own life!

Your not really alone, Just believe in yourself this rabble are here for you.
Just take things slowly and cool it a bit, Depression makes us feel isolated all the time, its one of its symptoms it needs showing just whose boss!
