Hey everyone, thanks for all the welcomes!

Wow...
Well, anywho, figured I might as well put this up - it's a brief intro to me. Looking forward to getting to know you guys...but it's bedtime for me. So g'night, and god bless.
Hey people, it's the Jman.
I don't really know how to describe myself...lol, I dunno. I believe very firmly in the power of kindness and love, and try to utilize them both in everything I do. I'm pretty friendly and outgoing, and love meeting other people who share my interests in a healthy lifestyle and decent Christian morals.
The three most important things in my life are, in order: God, my wonderful, lovely fiancee, Teeyona, and straightedge.
I don't think I need to explain God's place in my list of priorities, lol. He really is amazing, it's pretty cool even just taking a glance at the changes that have occurred in my life since I found Christ.
Straightedge - I know some of you are probably cocking your heads, asking "what on earth is straightedge?" right now.
The basic concept of straightedge is taken from the lyrics of Minor Threat's 1980 classic "Out of Step (With the World)", which outlined the three basic tenets of not doing drugs, smoking, drinking alcohol, or engaging in promiscuous sexual activity.
Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat's frontman) may have been a bit vulgar - but he certainly got his point across, and against all of his expectations, his words spawned an ethos that now encompasses youth all over the planet: Straightedge. This is a positive youth counterculture based on self-control and clean living. There are three simple tenets straightedge kids, as we tend to be called, follow: We don't consume alcohol, don't smoke or do recreational drugs, and we don't engage in promiscuous sexual activity. Simple as that.
In my case, the fact that I am straightedge means that I made a promise to myself. I promised myself that I would never consume any alcohol, never touch tobacco or recreational drugs, and will stay abstinent until marriage. This is a lifetime commitment.
"It was a trend for you, it's a lifestyle for us." --Joe S.
My fiancee...wow. What can I say about this beautiful, kind-hearted, gentle, loving, caring, lovely young lady? She is truly amazing. Like every couple, we've had our share of problems. But unlike most couples our age, and indeed, most couples in general these days, we talk every single problem out and work it out with each other, and every time, our relationship grows exponentially stronger because of it. I can't even express quite how much I love this young lady in words alone...it's really not something I could ever say. In any case, she truly is a wonderful, amazing, lovely young lady, and I'm inexpressably thankful that she is such an important part of my life.
As for me? Meh. I'm just me. If you live in Tualatin or hang out at Portland Community College Sylvania campus and see a dude with long, curly brown hair (usually in a ponytail) wearing dark blue jeans and a black leather jacket over a grey hoodie....it's probably me. Say hi, I'm a friendly kinda guy, and I'm always willing to talk with you about God if you're curious.
Til next time.....
Later!
~Jman
