  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, I’m Jonathan and I run a house church for Christians in Lubbesthorpe, Leicester, UK.

We launched on March 1st 2020, which was obviously interesting timing. God had told us to call our ministry Stable, which turned out to be just the word we needed for this time.

Over the last 12 months, God has been teaching us so much about what it means to be stable, so we’ve launched a new website and hope to share some of what God has been teaching us.

And your introduction is really interesting.

I think house churches will become more common and personally, I think as they are what the early Christian church began as, they are also biblically correct.

The same can't be said for the mega churches that often seen.

We felt God call us to just start something, and a house church seemed the most obvious way to do that, especially as it is what they did in the early church. Our town is currently around 400 houses, but is due to grow to 10 times that. Whether we stay as a house church (or community of house churches) remains to be seen. There is no plans for any church building in this town yet, but we can’t wait to see what God has planned!
