• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi and welcome to CF

10 years is a long time, I just realised not so long ago that that is how long I've experienced anxiety and panic attacks for. :sigh:

As for depression, I'm up and down with it, recently, I've been very down with it but have had very good reasons explaining it. Hope you're feeling good today.

God bless.

I'm not sure if I'm working this right - so here's hoping I'm a Christian that's been dealing with depression fror about 10 years now - wow is it really that long! I guess today was a medium day, but an emotional one at the same time. Well that's all for now.

Yep, no doubt depression is not the best guy to hang out with. I guess we have take what we get.LOL

10 years, you've racked up quite a list of things that don't help, I would think.

No all who wonder are lost, I know that feeling.

I think you might be on medication, or else you would be so down you would not be able to concentrate well enough to make it to the compurter much less work it.

Do you know why you are depressed. sometime we do and sometimes we don't.

All of our makeups are different and our brains reacts to things differently.

Lord, I pray that this youngman will find something to take his mind off the depression and give him something to motivate him and give him a renewed mind and spirit. Lord, knowing what we will face tomorrow is not easy when it is depression evey day of our lives.

Lord, put new people in his path with new ideas, give him courage to try new things, Lord may he see something of your beauty he has never seen before. Let his eyes be open to new colors of your artwork.

May he see things in different ways to bring joy to his soul. Make your presence known to him and may tomorrow be a beautiful and wonderful filled day for him to enjoy. In the name of Jesus, I pray. amen
