  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

there is a forum here that allows sarcasm?

I am a fan of sarcasm.
I can brush it off and share a beer with a worthy opponent.

I like to serve mine spead evenly over light wry, toasted.:D

I'm dyin' to ask somebody how many Catholics it takes to change a Pope.

We need a rubber room, or a Nerf Forum, or something, to let off steam.

I guess somebody would take it too seriously and GET steemed.

Ok, busted.
Wishful thinking.
Disregard.

Poor you--you're too blatantly honest to be sarcastic (I rather like your way of saying thing, myself!). . .

I can be sarcastic, at times, and sometimes think I like it too well:p (sometimes those things just slip from thought to word so quickly, you know? and while it's usually rather quite funny to me, sometimes I'd do better to keep my mouth locked more tightly!) Often, it's all I can do to keep from being sarcastic in a theological debate with those who are blatantly anti-Reformed. . .to paint a word picture of how some of them are (not all, but one or two really seem to do this) bowing down at the alter of of the idol Free Will, feeding this idol until it grows and surpasses all, and defending this idol by slashing those who would attempt, by God's grace, to rescue them from it's unbiblical grip. . .listen to me babble on!

You're a foundationstone around here for me, girl.
I've read you so much, I just see your name on a thread & think "All Is Well."
Half the time, just lurkin' 'round my homies here is encouraging enough to send me back into the battle.

Go ahead... I'll nominate you Pontificus Maximus of Babbling On. I think all the hats, robes, & accessories are more becoming on women anyway.:yum:

I think sarcasm is a wholely underappreciated social grace, and therefore propose we establish an Appreciation of Sarcasm Society. the acronym may be a little dicey, but then that's what most people think of me when I use it..... :D

:D :p

^_^ My, my, isn't that an idea! :D But perhaps if we changed the wording to Sarcasm Appreciation Society, it would be more fitting (sas--and isn't that what people think anyway? that they're being sassed? :p ) At least it's less, uh, controversial that way! ;)
Isn't sarcasm one of the spiritual gifts???:)
Must be!

^_^

They don't worship free will, they only VENERATE it!.^_^

I've heard it said that God was being a bit sarcastic in Genesis 3:22, when He said, " Behold, the man is become as one of us,..."
Remember it was Satan who had said,"... ye shall be as gods,..."

It is usualy resulting from a clash of sensibilities, which will usualy center around a ill- or re-defined noun or verb.

The trick is to use the same or similar words to illustrate the skew, and show how a correct, or Godly sensibility has been debased.

I'm just shootin' from the hip here. I just finished a grueling shift, and am squeezin' in some on-line time 'cause my PC is in the shop gettin' a tune-up.
