Hello Mary and Jan!

Yes, I will be a grandma now again for the seventh time. This is the baby, though, that was almost lost because his mother was so sick. She was on a total parental nutrition line for several weeks. Praise God, this little guy is now at 20 weeks and looking good, in spite of everything he and his poor mother went through.

God is so good.

And Mary--yes, I think Jan is right. Now that you have waterproofed you tent, undoubtedly lovely weather is assured, LOL. I hope you have lots of fun!

Will keep the little one and his mother in prayer, yes God is so good!

Mary - you're a better person than I am. While I love being outdoors, I don't do tents (I need a bed off the ground). When our kids were younger we had a pop-up tent camper - that was "rustic" enough for me. We had some darn good times with it. Your waterproofing comment makes me chuckle because we spent a lot of time either setting up or taking down in pouring rain (just the way of it I guess).

No not a better person, just different!:D I love tent camping. I used to teach backpacking and winter camping skills for the National Park Service; all our camping was done in tents...even in blizzards! A lot of people think that's crazy but I loved it!

I have nieces that are outdoorsy like that. My niece has worked every summer during her university years as a park interpreter and quide for the Canadian parks service. The last few years have been in Dinosauer Park in Alberta Canada. I never was much of a hiker but did tent camp with my own family not with hubby though he was soft and I got soft too. LOL sorry I missed you all today. Sleep tight. Jan

Last night was my first English class and the professor wanted a sample of our writing so we had to write an essay before leaving class last night...I was NOT prepared for that! Talk about pressure!
Tonight is Math class...not my favorite subject but I have to do it.
Have a blessed evening everyone!

Hi y'all

Oh, I loved camping when I was younger

just rip up some grass and stack it, 'bed shaped'
throw a groundsheet over it and get on top

It is 'conforming' and prevents the ground absorbing your warmth

btw.... if, you are tired-enough ?
you can sleep anywhere and that, is for-sure!

:)

Dave I'm not sure if I can agree with you that if you're tired enough you can sleep anywhere. I have had some nights where it seemed I negotiated with the rocks, twigs, potholes, etc, under my sleeping bag all night. The grass idea sounds wonderful, though I'm not sure if it would have been doable.

What I finally did on a Canada canoing trip was take my extra clothes out of my backpack and sleep on top of them. That made a huge difference. Also putting my poncho over my bag gave me extra insulation during the freezing nights.

Two years we backpacked into the wilderness for a fishing trip. I have the sneaking suspicion that neither of us are ready to do that again anytime soon. LOL.

LOL yeah okay!
a disturbed night, is NOT, a 'good-sleep'

Mary here, swears
that I 'could sleep on a clothes drying line'
LOL........ I do, have the ability to get straight off to sleep

Prayers, close my eyes, think of nothing,
conscious, for only a very brief time,
with everything-else NOW on-hold,
of, my relaxed breathing
next moment, I am through,
with a dreamless rest now, behind me, to enjoy a new day

I used-tuh, have lots of dreams
that concerned BETTER TIMES than I had in reality
These days my reality has, very little 'pressure'

I have grown....
to be appreciative of, even small blessings
I have 'few needs'
and can do-without the things still-missing
I would like to
DO even-more to please Mary
to reward her, for, her respectful care, her 'sharing'

What 'will-be' will be ?

I praise the Lord, who has brought me such peace
after 'times'
when I believed that all was soon to end [for me]
The respite, from such feelings, are heavenly
and I am ready ONLY when He is

Until that day, I am here to enjoy every blessing
that is mine to enjoy
and to help others
to put-down, that, which is, a burden in their lives
that they, may then, walk on
with lighter steps, in the way of our Saviour

 Angels, help the world go-around for 'the blind'
 Kiss, the wounds, of, others to aid their healing
:crossrc: Pray for all things good, to-attend the needy
 Praise our Lord for His Loving Care
:groupray: Angels, do our Lord's work, according to the Spirit, which is, the word

May God Bless you dear Sis' Ariel

I LOVE backpacking! But I do like my comfort so since we are not backpacking into the camping area I am taking a twin size inflatable mattress!

Mary, what God call you to He will enable. Be blessed, dear one. Even in this He is faithful, and will help you through. I believe this with all my heart.

Thanks sweetie!

Such wonderful words of wisdom!

Oh I loved 'problems' at school

Starting out......
numerology wasnt my favourite undertaking
and years passed getting to grips with them
but then High School, began to show me the relationship
between numbers, quantities, dimensions and hypotheses

and BINGO 'the lights came on'

Algebra ? became 'a doddle'

and my mind, it went '3D capable'

As for the wisdom......
I am sorry! I 'truthfully'have no idea > WHEREFROM 'it' stems

But, I acknowledge
the good-responses / feedback that I get
for, simply spreading it around
does only encourage me
to give-thought to, HOW TO REPLY when others cry-out

If, I am able to 'shine a light' on someone's darkness
I WILL BE THERE !!
If, I know of, an applicable-tool that can be used to-advantage
I will describe it !!

All the best with your tests Sis'

This then is the difference between what we call Arithmetic which is very concrete and Mathmatics which is theoretical. We only scratch the surface in high school learning rudimentary tools and formulas to manipulate ideas about space and time and all that cosmic stuff. I was poor at Arithmetic and I must say my lack in that regard hampered my abilitly to work successfully in the latter category. jan

Hi everyone! Well after a week of classes I think that the Math is actually going to be easier than the College Composition course! I have so much reading to do! And writing is not my favorite thing in the world. That Math homework of 250 problems is beginning to look a lot better!^_^

I would gladly trade four composition classes for one math class! Regardless of that though, the real point is that God will see you through what He has brought you to.

Good afternoon everyone

Hi Mary..... Most PROBLEMS [indeed ALL] have a common denominator
that is then TOOLED
with +, -, x, and /

several INSTANCES per minute
TOOK, just so-many SECONDS to complete ONE
ie: number of happenings into 60
to find out 'how many seconds' each lasted
and/ or,
MULTIPLYING number of, INSTANCES per minute x 60 per hour then x 24 for total each day

:)

You'll be okay .....

Hi again it is great that you popped in. The graphics are wonderful as well. Have a lovely weekend and don't be a stranger. Jan

Mary I hear you when you talk about all the reading and writing that is required in University. I love to read and I am not terrible at writing but.....it gets pretty intense. Still I think the 250 math depending on what kind of questions might be the bigger bugbear for me. I wish you well.

Hi to edb, restoretheriver and dave as well :) Jan

Hi to edb, restoretheriver and dave as well Jan

I love to read! But I don't like to write! Written words can mean something entirely different depending on who is doing the reading...ten people can read something and each of them can come away with a different idea of what the author was trying to communicte. Numbers of course are not subject to individual interpretation. There is only one way to interpret 5 -2=3. So needless to say I am feeling quite a bit or trepidation about the writing.
Prayers are appreciated!
