Hey ya'll! Does anyone else just totally love this show? It rocks! The first few were kinda graphic, but it was relevant to the story. If anyone wants to discuss what they think about the show, and what they think is going on in the story... feel free!!!

The ending of tonight's episode was very interesting, with "future" Hiro bringing a warning.

Anyway.

What's up with Claire's father? And where is he holding that mind-reading cop (Matt?)?

It's too bad that Isaac has to dope up in order to do his paintings. Is that really a genetic evolution? Heroin to see the future? LOL And I wonder at which point he was able to draw that comic book for Hiro and have it waiting at a newstand for him?

One would think that BY NOW, most politicians (ie. Nathan) would learn not to sleep with women who are not their wives right in the middle of a political campaign.

It was pretty cool that we finally got to see Niki kick some tail. And was I seeing things, or did that tattoo on her back match a pendant being worn by someone else in the show?

It seems that Peter is kinda like Rogue from X-Men in that he's able to absorb and temporarily use the powers of other people. That's cool!

But NOTHING was as cool as the ending when we got to see an ENGLISH SPEAKING HIRO make his way into the subway train after stopping time and deliver a message to Peter.

Future Hiro was awesome! I can't wait til' next week to see what happens next. What do you think is going on with Niki? Apparently she possesses superhuman strength...and her alter ego comes out when she or her kid are in danger. I think that she is the one who killed the people she found in the desert (the ones she thinks her husband killed). They must have threatened her family and she went off on them, but obviously, don't remember.

And you may be right, that may be exactly what it is -- she can't handle the truth of what she is doing and so has invented an alternate personality to do it for her.

One last thing, I'm curious if the cop died. It seemed strange that he didn't appear until the second episode, which made it appear that he wasn't as important a character. So, it would make sense that he has been killed, though I also wonder if he hasn't been brainwashed over to the other side.

The ring she found was from a guy in the gang her hubby was part of, and she told her ex-Mother in law that they had a deal that went bad, and that her hubby killed them then fled. Her husband will be in next week's episode. (should be interesting, as he has powers also... )

No, the cop isn't dead, just not being focused on really alot yet. I don't know what they did with him, but they took Nathan too in this episode (according to the preview for next week, and he escapes and flies off)

I agree about Hiro... cool to see how he changes.

I laughed at the bit with the girl on the autopsy table. It was sort of a shock kind of laughter. But I'm totally hooked on this show!
I lost interest in Lost, and Heroes has given me something better to watch! Hiro is so funny. In a silly dorky way.
The cheerleader is pretty cool too! But the guy who paints the future is awesome.

And Hiro in the future is totally cool! Did you see the "S" symbol on his japanese sword thingy?? He finally got the outift he always wanted. My favourite power on the show is the flight. As I think it would be awesome to fly. But I dont like Nathan's character.

It's her superhero uniform silly.

Actually I missed the first part of that episode and no one has addressed it - how did she recover from her "recovery" on the autopsy table? I only saw her smashing the Trans-Am into the wall to extract revenge on her rapist/murderer.

When she fell and "died" she had a tree branch get stuck in her head. She started recovering after the tree branch was pulled out by the doctor who was performing the autopsy. Apparently the boy who killed her threw her in a river but was so drunk he didn't remember her dying or putting her in the river; he also did in without alerting the other kids at the party as to what had happened.

As for the car crash, if you look at the comics on the Heroes website, apparently Claire pulls the boy out of the car after it crashes when the car catches fire. She thinks he is out of it, but at the end of the comics he asks her, "What are you?"

I am sooo glad there is a thread on my new favorite show here! Though I am admittedly sort of a comic book geek, I was initially sceptical about the show. But I became hooked at the first episode (as have my wife and my sister-in-law who are definitely not comic book geeks).


I think Nathan will change his personality eventually when he realizes that his abilities are needed for the greater good.

It looks like they aren't wasting much time in beginning to get these people together. I'm really looking forward to what happens next!

PS. Hiro is my favorite character right now. He is great as comic relief, but he is also one of the potentially most powerful characters on the show (along with Peter, who can copy any persons power).

Hiro is definately awesome and he's going to be apart of some great things in this show.

Niki is pretty cool too, though that whole personality thing is a little weird. It must be scary to know that you've done things like kill people and then you can't even remember...

Claire is my favorite character and I feel bad for her too. Her dad is the bad guy and she's RIGHT in the middle of the danger zone.

I really enjoyed last night's episode. I'm so curious to know how saving clarie will save the world. It's also interesting to see how they are all slowly coming together, but I can't wait to see what will happen when nikki confronts herself.
I like this show, but I'm almost afraid to fall in love with it for fear of cancellation.

DOH!!!! That's why we need spoiler warnings!!!!!
I totally missed that, but it makes perfect sense now.
I had thought his power was just weak and untrained which is why is couldn't fly whenever he wanted to. But being able to mimic anyone else's power explains how he was able to finish Isaac's painting.
