Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Here's the pattern....

Well, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I've only been on GT for a couple of days. Whereas you consider GT to be your mission field. Believe me, I don't take this personal at all. In addition, I'm very comfortable with my femininity and wouldn't care if someone said anything about my estrogen. I suppose if I were insecure about it, I would be offended.

Nice try though Simon. You're skilled at projecting. That means that you accuse other's of the very things you're guilty of .

GT owns us all...

Wait til you get 7 or more "reports" in one day. Very humbling but also very frustrating.

Oops!

You forgot something. Marriage is the unity of two souls and the Church is unite to Jesus as his bride. Jesus plus church equals UNITY as ONE.

As an ECF said... "You cannot have God for the Father with out the Church for a Mother."
Then give me a good reason why I shouldn't join the Orthodox church?

Hey I get along with all denominations of Orthodox, Catholism and defective Protestism.
Isn't this about converting us poor lost souls back to Roman Catholicism? I mean, what are you trying to accomplish here outside of OBOB? Just curious.

Just sharing the joys of being a Catholic Christian. :)

The point V is i've watched others offer scripture to you and be nice and you slap it back in their face as if ONLY you know their intentions, you get called on it and still never apologize..Ya just don't portray a real KIND person in my opinion. Seems like you've got some issues with the other gender as well.

You should join the Orthodox Church. Our bishop :liturgy: can deal with their bishops. :priest: :priest: :priest:

Since you don't have a bishop, you have deal with us personally.

It would be a lot easier on both parties if you converted to Orthodoxy.

I have to sound a note of warning. We can't all be right, but we can all be wrong. God forgives those who come partway along the path and atone for not being able to make it all the way. But is it common sense that God would impose a beaurocracy on top of being a good Christian?

I can tell ya it would be worst for the Roman church if I did join the Orthodox, because at least this way I can go against all denominations, as I am non-denominational. So I would say I got the best of both worlds right now ^_^

Please, the spirit of Christ has been indwelled in believers since pentecost. People like the theif never needed all the sacramentalism your church preaches...

The thief on the cross, although a border line case, still fell under the Old Covenant. Christian baptism was not yet n effect.

With the thief on the cross, Jesus had not yet died, let alone risen, when He promised the man paradise. St. Paul in Romans 6:3-6 shows that baptism joins us to Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. As Christ had not died or rose from the dead, baptism was not relevant. Instead, the promise to the thief was the same promise to all of those under the Old Covenant, including St. John the Baptist, Moses, Elijah, and all the other righteous people before Christ. Baptism only becomes necessary after Christ's passion.

2. To suggest that the necessity of baptism is to believe that "Christ's work is not enough" is to ignore the Lord's orders in Matthew 28:19.

I mean most of my posts were limited to one or two words.
Tad the post were so short because you had nothing to back them, you were arguing against scripture, unlike when we debate the many wrong teachings of Roman Catholicism. That should be obvious by now.

I was just making a list of Protestant inventions.

It seemed to get y'all a little excited.;)
