Someone once also suggested I make a list of the things I'd want in a significant other. She said to list the traits in order of priority. According to her, the guy I'm considering should at least fulfill the first five or else I'll never be satisified with him. I never made the list nor had the chance to test her 'theory' so I can't say with certainty if it's true. I've had a mental list of the traits I want in a guy, though, but it seems that as I get older, the shorter it gets. It's either I'm getting more mature or more desperate that I'm decimating the items on my list.
Seriously, I think I'm learning to to wait on God more, put His wants before my own.
Off the top of my head, here's my list:
1. A mature Christian who loves God with all his mind, heart and soul. Someone who's willing to follow God's will no matter what the cost.
2. Intelligent and witty, doesn't mind intellectual sparring every now and then.
3. Knows how to laugh, listen, and understand when silence is more valuable than words.
4. Loves dogs and meeting new people, is an insatiable learner, and looks like Legolas.
Okay okay. I was joking about the Legolas bit.
