hey all once agian im back! lol ( yeah yeah i luv this site too much!)

my friends want me to move on.... buts its hard whn ur family is stuck in the past.... basiclly well they want me to see a shrink ( no offence to all of them who belong to this site i cant spell the poper name now... im sry im tired) and i dont kno if i want to go i want to move on  but im scared.

 wut should i do?

Andrea, Ive been to a shrink several times when I have had emotional problems etc. I have suffered from depression and anxiety and have found myself with one foot stuck in the past in things that happend years ago that I am still struggling with.

I found it helpful in one respect, he helped me put my finger on what the problem was. and I found it wasnt actually what I was struggling with NOW it was something from my childhood that was affecting the way I interpreted the present situation. However, he couldnt do anything for me to solve the problem... For that I went for christian councelling, people talking thru my issues and praying for God to heal me, it was wonderful, It helped me move on and have peace about the past, it healed a lot of hurts and changed the way I live now. Only God can do that well.

I went to a place called ELLEL MINISTRIES for my christian counselling because it was a residential course. There is one in canada, in orangeville near toronto, but that might be miles away from you for all I know, so, the best place to try is one of your local churches, if they dont do this sort of thing at your church, you can try another one, without feeling you have betrayed them in any way. we are all part of the body after all. Actually you might find that easier, because of you remain anonymous to a cirtain extent.

Hun...like I have said before I know after he died things went a little weird but be strong and have faith everything will be ok!and for anyone who doesnt know I think andrea is talking aabout the passing of her uncle.

There is no shame in going to a shrink (psychiatrist). It might make you better! Pick a Christian shrink, though. The other ones can really mess with your mind and make you worse off than before!

hummm shrink's!!! Andrea sence your such a good friend of mine...I will give you the number of mine...she is catholic so no worries about the religion thing. Or if you want I will give you the number of my mothers friend who is also a therpiest. She is wonderful!
