If you're planning on buying one, get one for me as well. Please and thank you.

An iPod is an mp3 player which is guaranteed to keep your teen (or in some cases, husband!) quiet for long periods of time, as well as a way to run up a good bill on music downloads. It's today's version of the Walkman...But without the cassette

A Blackberry is a cell phone/PDA combo which is capable of Internet browsing, receiving email, text messaging, and other cool functions. It's used mostly by business types. If you give one to your spouse, it virtually guarantees that he's never out of touch unless he turns the thing off. Whether or not that's a good thing depends on how you're keeping track of him

Sorry Redguard, you're not that lucky. I'm not buying one...but if I do...I'll think of you. :)

So, an iPod only plays music??
And what is the difference between a blackberry and PDA? My husband has used a Palm PDA for a few years...is a blackberry the same thing?
THANKS for answering. The pictures are helpful too!!
Much appreciated,
Lisa

No. Some iPods have extra memory and are capable of playing mpg files which are essentially videos. So you can watch and listen to music videos that you've downloaded into the iPod. You can also look at photos that you've downloaded if you have a color screen.

A Blackberry is a kind of PDA... you can use it as both a phone and an organizer. It's also more advanced than most since you can hook it up to several of your email accounts and send/receive emails.

Lisa, the Blackberry does a lot of the same things a PDA does. You can downloac/upload from your Blackberry to a PC via a cable, so essentially its function as a PDA doesn't take much getting used to. If your hubby's already done a Palm, he wouldn't have any problems figuring a BB out.

The only basic difference between a Palm and a Blackberry is that the Blackberry has phone capabilities and inherent software for address book. The typing on a Blackberry takes some getting used to, but it's addictive.

I've heard people call it a "Crackberry" ^_^

Music, videos, podcasts, pictures, yes, iPods are AWESOME! I got a 30 GB for Christmas. I have my entire CD collection on it (approx 2200 songs) and the thing is only 1/4 full!

Blackberry aka "Crack"berry because they are very addictive. VERY! It's constant communication via all avenues - phone, e-mail, and even instant msg. It's crazy. Yes - I'm addicted to one.

iPod. I thank God everyday for blessing me with this wonderful invention. I have a Gen3 20GB iPod. I have 1500 songs on it. Beautiful thing!

Like what things are you talking about?
She means like... if you put your Blackberry on vibrate mode and tape it to your back, and then call your Blackberry from another phone, then it operates as a convenient back massager.

Or, for some adventerous people, a pleasure toy. :|

im sorry but legally we can't dislcose any information on in because it hasn't been made public yet.
Unless you also work for RIM, that means that your husband has already violated the confidentiality clause by letting you know about the proposed technologies.

Look... if you tell me some of the secrets, I'll promise not to rat him out.
