helooo im new here and i got a question im not sure if i post it here but still how many times should i pray a week? should i pray once a day? how long shud i pray for? and shud i say the same thing every night in my prayer? if u cud help me with these i wud rlly apreciate it thank you

Welcome! I'm pretty new here too (only been here a few days) but I've been a Christian for about 16 years. As for your questions, there is no set time, place, number of times, etc. when it comes to prayer. Prayer is simply you speaking with God. Prayers don't have to be long, elaborate things. Just speak to God from your heart I hope that helps you! If you'd like to talk some more, feel free to write

I agree with humblet on this one. It's a relationship with God. So, if you want to talk to him all the time, go ahead. Same thing as prayer, just not as fancy. He still hears it all.

I believe that we pray constantly in our thoughts and in our words and in our hearts. But I also think it's wonderful when we put aside some time to actually kneel before Jesus and talk with Him. Talk to Him about our daily lives, those that we come in contact with and praying for them and our friends and family.

I don't think it is wise to put stipulation as how often a person should pray per day. I believe that when we feel or sense that urgency to pray, that is when we try and find a time to relax and kneel and pray as the Holy Spirit leads us.

Prayer is something I do on a continuous basis. I say quick prayers in my head many times a day, and pray before meals. I also have a prayer time before I go to sleep. It's like a phone call to God, and He is ready to talk 24/7! The Bible says to pray without ceasing, and in the world today, that isn't so hard to do!

To answer your question from a Christianity point of view, there is no rule about praying. Ya do when when you want to, when you need to, and when you just want to talk to the only person who really understands you.

PS Pray as the Lord leads you to pray. Sometimes you'll meet someone or hear of a request that you just have to stop everything that you're doing and pray for that person. Sometimes your life will be hard and you'll need to spend more time with God in prayer, sometimes less. I would suggest at least ONE prayer a day... keeping the lines of communication between you and Him are very important.
