Newly here, just today.
I discovered this site by happening on a conversation dealing with Cosmology (wasn't looking for that, specifically). The conversation looked decent enough, and I had never heard of this site, so I decided to join.
About me:
I was born in Germany, and listed as "Evangelisch" (Protestant - which in Germany typically means Lutheran), and adopted by Americans who were Catholic (though mom grew up Baptist).
By 7th-8th grade, my sister and I (we were adopted together) figured out that we were more Protestant than Catholic, and I embarked upon a study of all the major branches of Protestantism that came out of the Reformation, in order to answer the question: "Well, what am I?". That was the late 1970s.
For a variety of reasons (partly for my abiding interest in British History), I find myself leaning toward the British Reformed tradition (Presbyterian / Puritan / Baptist), but I am "unchurched".
Favorite Bible Translations: KJV, and Geneva (1599).
See you in the Threads!
