  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, Christians aren't perfect. I think some are trying, though.

I know how you feel. I am a christian also and my experience has been that Christians are jerks. I have been to many churches and the abuse from them has been at times great and varied.

But I will say that I have heard some great preachers online and some of their churches sound amazing. But they don't happen to be close to me.

Also, I may have been searching for a real caring church that would not reject me or was not emotionally abusing the sheep, and I may have visited as many as a hundred churches so far in my life. But even if it was that many, it still does not amount to hardly one percent of all Christians and churches in the United States and the world.

I have come to accept it would not be right to assume everyone is evil because of my experiences with such a small percentage.

Elijah felt like us and God told him their is 250 other prophets who are good.

So cheer up, all is not lost or as dark as it might seem.
