  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi CF members, I'm SolaChristian.

I'm a quasi-reformed Christian, probably close to being Baptist but not particularly concerned with denominations. Not sure where I stand regarding eschatology or other side issues of the faith, I'm more interested in apologetics, specifically with Muslims, atheists, Jehovah's Witnesses etc. Excited to be on the forum so that I can learn from others and hopefully have interesting engagements.

Hi Ramon, I think this is probably not the right place on the forum to discuss this issue but I would definitely like to pursue this as a discussion. Accepting all religions as right violates the law of non-contradiction (the fabric of reality) and undermines objective truth, so I'm not sure how you coherently hold to this view.. especially since it is self-defeating as well. You feel it's arrogant to assume that any religion is the 'right one' yet you presumably assume that your view of religion is 'the right one' :)
But as I said I think it's best to message me privately if you want to push back on this idea since this is just the welcoming forum.
