exactly Lady Grace! I was wondering why s0uljah was referring to a "physical body"?
992. "God revealed the RESURRECTION of the DEAD to his people progressively. Hope in the bodily RESURRECTION of the DEAD established itself as a consequence intrinsic to faith in God as creator of the whole man, soul and body. The creator of heaven and earth is also the one who faithfully maintains his covenant with Abraham and his posterity. It was in this double perspective that faith in the RESURRECTION came to be expressed. In their trials, the Maccabean martyrs confessed: The King of the universe will raise us up to an everlasting renewal of life, because we have died for his laws.[2 Macc 7:9 .] One cannot but choose to die at the hands of men and to cherish the hope that God gives of being raised again by him.[2 Macc 7:14 ; cf. 2 Macc 7:29 ; Dan 12:1-13 .] "

Matt 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."
ZooMom, The reality is that you have. Someone can be the best person in the whole world and if they reject Jesus Christ they are on the wide path of destruction. They can pray to Mary, but if they reject Christ, they will go to hell. I truly have met people who would fall in this category. Its really sad.

Yes. Just like there are those who call themselves Christian in many protestant church and their life definitely doesn't show it. Yes, i have met Catholics who their life doesn't represent a Christian life or even tries to, but they go to church.
i thought that the church now allows cremation?
I agree. But I wasn't Catholic at the time.Originally posted by sklippstein
Zoomom.......i think that there are many other catholics that are doing or have done the same. U get out of it what u put into it. If u are going just to simply go to Mass on Sunday......then that's what u will get. If u are attending Mass for the purpose of receiving Christ, his teaching, and experiencing the love of God.....u will receive it.
