There seems to be a bit of confusion about what hell is, and what it means when we say that Jesus descended into hell. The word "hell" comes from an Anglo-Saxon/Germanic belief in a place called hel, where the spirits of the dead went. It wasn't a bad place, in the way most people think of hell today, it was merely were you went if you didn't make it to the hall of your patron god or godess. Thus we see in the story of the rich man and Lazarus that Lazarus is "at Abraham's bosom" and the rich man is in another place separated by the great divide. So in relating to the thread on Michael and Satan struggling for the body of Moses, yes Moses spirit did go to hell, as in the waiting place. When Jesus came all those that were waiting were then released into the kingdom of God where they could not go before.
It's important to understand that difference.
