Is there a difference or similarity between Hell/Lake of Fire and "outer darkness" from Matthew 25? Is it the case that since the Foolish Virgins and the lazy servant from the parable of the talents have the "outer darkness, where there will be gnashing of teeth"? Does the outer darkness mean that those not written will have their part in the Lake of Fire according to Revelation?

My understanding of the doctrine of Hell is that, no one is currently in Hell. Right now, people are in Hades, the fiery torment side. It won't be until the Final Judgement that people who are currently in the fiery torment in Hades, will be cast into actual Hell, the outer darkness.

I mostly get this understanding from this dialogue between James White and Steven Anderson on their debate about the KJV (I have it set to start when their discussion on Hell begins, it continues until the end.):

^^^That would be your Roman Catholic understanding of Hell/Hades. I'd be surprised to find a bible-educated protestant that promoted the notion of purgatory.

The same understanding I put forth in my original post is the one put forth by Dr. James White in the video I linked. Does he qualify as bible-educated protestant enough for you? I also made no mention of purgatory, rather I mentioned hades. Which are two separate concepts entirely...

Let me ask anyone this: If when people die they go to a place of torment, what then is the point of the Final Judgement? For havent they already been judged?
Hell seems to be considered a jail. If someone were there 1000 to 10000 years, and then judged, it would be part of their punishment, but only the holding cell. The Judgment may last a long time! There are billions of people whose every word and deed are brought into judgment. Then comes the final sentence of being cast into the Lake that burns with fire and brimstone for all eternity as the sentence for the guilty. No release and no mercy are granted for people who are sent to Hell, are judged, and sentenced to the Lake of Fire. Hell is sometimes called the Bottomless Pit. The Lake of Fire is sometimes called Perdition.

Think about all the souls that have lived and died since adam and since our lord was on this earth. Thats a lot of people. Hell is pretty big. The lake of fire is the final destination. (Part of hell)

It is like how paradise is the waiting place for those heaven bound, but nobody is actually within the pearly gates and given their reward until Jesus appears.

Space-time is different in eternity.

Time was created by God to show the Devil there is a limit to what God will allow. The days comes, and Judgment will be dealt out. Time will come to an end, and the Devil shall run out of time. Our time will run out as well.

Revelation 12:12 ¶ Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Revelation 10:5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
Revelation 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
