Yes, seperation

That is called " karet "

Keritot[edit]

(כריתות) means "Excisions"; Deals with the commandments for which the penalty is karet ("spiritual excision") as well as the sacrifices associated with their (mostly unwitting) transgression. 6 chapters

Used 215 times in the scriptures

One of my faves, Daniel 9:26

" And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined "

כרת karath {kaw-rath'} a primitive root; TWOT - 1048; v AV - cut off 145, make 85, cut down 23, cut 9, fail 6, destroy 4, want 3, covenanted 2, hew 2, misc 9; 288 1) to cut, cut off, cut down, cut off a body part, cut out, eliminate, kill, cut a covenant 1a) (Qal) 1a1) to cut off 1a1a) to cut off a body part, behead 1a2) to cut down 1a3) to hew 1a4) to cut or make a covenant 1b) (Niphal) 1b1) to be cut off 1b2) to be cut down 1b3) to be chewed 1b4) to be cut off, fail 1c) (Pual) 1c1) to be cut off 1c2) to be cut down 1d) (Hiphil) 1d1) to cut off 1d2) to cut off, destroy 1d3) to cut down, destroy 1d4) to take away 1d5) to permit to perish 1e) (Hophal) cut off

In Greek:

Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

εκκοπτω ekkopto {ek-kop'-to} from 1537 and 2875; TDNT - 3:857,453; v AV - cut off 4, hewn down 3, cut down 2, cut out 1, be hindered 1; 11 1) to cut out, cut off 1a) of a tree 2) metaph. to cut off occasion

The noun form in Hebrew does not occur in the Hebrew Bible, but,..

In the Talmud, kareth means not necessarily physical "cutting off" of life, but extinction of the soul and denial of a share in the world to come

Essentially, " outer darkness '
The Mormons call it outer darkness too, so does James. But Jesus calls it a fire, a fire is a place with heat.

Therefore needing fuel.

How do you know it is literal fire? Fire as we know it may be the only way for God to express the horror of Hell. Hell is probably much worse than literal flames.
Yep. I did 30 days in county for a second DUI, can confirm it is similar to hell.

First things first God is God beyond our comprehension there is no point in questioning or philosophising how or why He does things or seems not to do things the way that He does; your options are to accept Him and His reasons 100% or reject Him and His reasons 100% all else is a futile and delusional exercise.

Chris, I really wish that you would cease these thought patterns especially on Hell you don't seem to realise the danger you are in just walking into evil games and contaminating yourself with idle and proud chat. It's not just you that gets caught up into it. Untold numbers come across your posts, young in faith, maybe not even in it, you could be hurting others without a clue! this worries me.

Better for you to go back to your bible and refresh on what Jesus actually teaches about Himself and how to be a disciple and try to forget what the different churches have told you that may or may not be sound and avoid all this secular stuff you are into that has warped your spiritual and moral understanding. Please, come back to sense!

I'm just pointing out how ridiculous hell is, that the God of the universe would go that far to toast people.

Really?
There's another aspect to consider too, that we have become distanced from over the 2,000 years.

In 2 Peter 2:4 it shows that the angels who disobeyed were held in chains of dense darkness for the judgement. 1 Peter 3:19-20 shows that Jesus preached to the imprisoned souls who had perished when the flood passed through, saying that only 8 souls were carried safely through the waters. This is St. Peter, the same one whom Jesus said "The Gates of hell shall never prevail against". It seems that he did have a path even forewarned by Jesus, that led to a knowledge of these things. Of course, this knowledge has been somewhat concealed over the ages (John 12:35, John 16:2).

YHWH is the God of the living, not of the dead. The priesthood that Jesus represents is the order of Melchezidek, which is written in Hebrews 7:15-17:

It is even more obvious when another priest arises, resembling Melchizedek, one who has become a priest, not through a legal requirement concerning physical descent, but through the power of an indestructible life. For it is attested of him, ‘You are a priest for ever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’

.. How do you imagine Jesus might have managed go to a place where the disobedient souls are held in dense darkness, to preach to them, if hell does not really exist?

I've never been to jail, but I think the separation from the outside world might be a little Hell in miniature. But since you were around people, it was not as bad as Hell. I think the "outer darkness" is being alone forever in absolute nothingness. No light, no sound, no other person to share your trouble, no communication, no God. It must be a torment.

I've told you before. You can't take one attribute and make it the whole. God's love is informed by his righteousness, justice and holiness. A holy love cannot permit evil to exist forever. I'm pleading with you brother please get back into your bible and out of myth busters. I'm not joking. I don't find your sense of humour funny I find it very very sad and disturbing. You joke about what you don't know and you do it on a public forum where you can misguide countless others. You think you're so smart but worldly adults are ignorant spiritual children. We want the best for you and you're leading others into the worst and singing prides praises while you do it. :( why are you content to sleep in ignorance?

Why are those the only "fair" options, other than because you say so?
No, it's because of said truth claims Christians make about Gods fairness preclude such answers.

Such as the verse in the bible where God says

"It never entered my mind to burn chidren"

Ah, yes. The Outer Darkness. Not any place I'd choose to visit, even if I were slumming; because what if I got stuck there?

Sounds like hearsay. You need to provide your own claims.

That's about people burning their children as a sacrifice to God, which God indeed never asked for. That has absolutely no bearing, however, on the existence of hell. People don't go to hell to be sacrifices to God.
