• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I dont know what i have, but i suffer with constant headaches (mainly at the front of my head and sometimes in my face too). My doctor does not know what it is, though i'm having a ct scan on fri 16th dec, and then i'll have to wait for the results and i dont even know if they will then know what is wrong with me. Its just scary for me not knowing what is wrong with me.

God Bless

Ps. Hope this is in the right forum, sorry if it isnt.

You are doing the right thing. Either an ENT specialist or a Neurologist will first want to rule out the existence of something scary and sinister (like a tumor). A CT scan will also allow them to see if you have a persistent infection that is causing the pain.

CT scans are completely painless...don't worry on that account. If the scan shows no infections or tumors, they will probably have you consult a neurologist, who can give you the appropriate medications, and in the meantime, you'll know that there is nothing very very wrong that is causing the pain, which can lead to less stress, which can lead to less pain even while they are sorting it all out. Good luck, and God bless!

You will be in my prayers, dear. I hope they discover what the problem is and that it isn't serious. :prayer:
