My thread title was a metaphor, which I will now explain. As a result of the actions of pedophiles and child sexual abusers the victims are automatically imposed with punishment which equates to a life-time sentence. It is a pain, a burden, and an injury which can never fully be relieved or healed. Unfortunately there is only one manner in which anyone can truly understand that, and it is not a condition I would wish on anyone.
I don't care how long ago a pedophile may have abused a child. They are guilty, and deserving of no sympathy, no coddling, and no mercy.
I didn't say the man who killed this particular pedophile should not have been punished. He is certainly liable. But his crimes were crimes of passion, not profit, and the underlying motivation for the crime of murder should have mitigated his sentence to a degree more profoundly than evidenced. Did he commit murder? Of course. But he also did the world a favor, as there is now one less pedophile in it.
Make of that what you will.
Sounds to me like she needs to toughen up and get over it.
Isn't that the normal Conservative response to everything?
