I don't see much of a reason to live, if I cannot be in a relationship...a lonely, dark, depressing life that would be for me, personally. Others might be able to do that, but I don't see why God would even care to do that to me.How do you know that it is not a choice between being gay and being called to celibacy? What if in God's divine will for your life, you would be tempted by sexual sin, but if overcome, you would be called to ministry? We are all tried and tested before being conformed to God's will for our life.
We know that Paul prayed to be delivered from the thorn in his flesh. He was a Roman citizan and had likely been exposed to many diverse experiences. He was also a Jew, so homosexuality was forbidden. However, what if that thorn was attraction to other men? He never married although it was expected of him as a Jewish man. He was not a young man when called by God. Could he have been gay and from the moment of his conversion suffered still with the attraction, but sacrificed his fleshly desires to follow God's purpose for him?
There is a reason and a purpose for all those who love God. There is a reason we are afflicted and there is a reason that by the grace of God we are able to overcome.
