Has anyone read/is anyone reading the Da Vinci's code by Dan Brown?

So.. is there anyone out there?

I got about 1/4 of the way into it at a house I was babysitting, and I got totally hooked!
I ended up going to buy it ^_^ I havent had much time to read, but I have a 12 hour (each way) flight coming next month that i am saving it for...
But what I have read, its sooooo good! His writing style is awesome!!

Religious mumbojumbo aside, its tres interresting!!

I read it but liked his "Angels and Demons" and "Digital Fortress" even better. But yes, "The DaVinci Code", regardless of one's religious beliefs, is still an interesting book. It didn't change my faith, but then I took it as it was meant--a work of fiction.

erm I think it was a VERY interesting read, but not too well written. Clumsy style, contrived a lot of the time. The book fascinated me though, and got me interested in the topic to no end. I even found another book that talked about that da Vinci picture, Madonna on the Rocks, and how it was symbolic of the ancient legend that there were two Jesuses, both born of parents called Mary and Joseph. complicated thoery, but as crazy as Jesus being married.

The story was fantastic, but his writing style is awful. A lot of melodrama and NO subtlety whatsoever.

whassup litmajor...I have this strange feeling we've met before *snigger*

I took it as a work of fiction and enjoyed it. it annoyed me that it sparked to mutch contriveresy. Is it True? Is it a Lie? Do I care? Then again the people who spoke against it im sure prevoked even more people to read it.
Exactly. I read it as fiction, and thats all.

Im sure half the people who got upset over its "Jesus" claims didn't even read the book.
It's like once we become a christian, we are no longer allowed to enjoy anything other then Christian literature.
(My pastor over heard me talking about it to someone, and he suggested I get the christian written book called "craking the code" or something like that, so I will know that its not true- thanks but no thanks)
