I went to see a midnight showing.
In a word: WOW!
This is, without question, the best of the HP films so far. At times uproariously funny and at times heart-breakingly sad, this film captures all of the emotion in the book and puts it up there on the screen. The special FX are amazing. The action sequences are tense. I was totally amazed by the character development: especially Hermione, who is at turns a beautiful young woman, an angsty teenager, and an insecure and confused adolescent.
The violence and intensity of this movie is leaps and bounds more than anything in an HP movie so far. People die in this movie, and far more people are in considerable peril for long periods of time. Definitely deserved its PG-13 rating.
I look forward to seeing others' opinions as well. Dish!

PS - If you're one of those "Harry Potter is evil" people, please save your comments for a more appropriate thread. I'd like to keep this thread open for people who have actually seen the movie, thank you very much.
