Hi,
I'm a college junior and I'm feeling uncertain about what to do for Halloween. I don't want to dress [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth] for Halloween, but all the other girls are doing it (seriously. I'm not just saying that in the whiny way.) and I honestly hate being the only girl not in costume at all, or dressed frumpy and conservatively. I don't want guys to look right through me at the girls with hot costumes. I have big boobs and a reasonably nice body, so I know I could wear one of those costumes. Plus, my over-21 boyfriend is hitting the bars that night. This might sound awful and blunt, but i don't want him to spend the whole night in the bar with his friend checking out the girls in the supersexy costumes that are skin-tight and low plunge, and then come back to the dorm to see me dressed boring and regular and just not nearly as sexy, or even in a non-sexy/[wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth] costume. I don't want the other girls to all seem better looking than me. Nor do I wish to be a dull let down. It's like girls are always in a competition with one another, whether we really want to compete or not. I don't want to compete, but I don't want to lose either and honestly I have to ask myself; how would I feel if I were him and all the other girls were dressed hot and my girlfriend was a dull puritan with her skin covered on Halloween?
I didn't dress up last year in a costume, but I did go out in fishnets and heels with a really sexy black garter belt showing (the skirt was black and almost up to my butt. It looked great on me, but I know I looked like a [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]). The next morning I felt a little bad, like a morally weak person who caved in.
So what should I do? Are those costumes really not so bad, and maybe it doesn't matter if you show all your skin for one night anyways? Should I just buy one and go party? If not, what do you think of me not dressing up like that at all and staying in? I'd appreciate advice from anyone, especially girls who have been there or guys who could give me some male perspective on this whole thing. Thanks so much.
