had this weird dream/vision?

I'm not sure anyone here can intepret dreams but anyway, whether dream or vision, it doesn't matter. It still makes me think.

I was walking to a large building. It looked like a country of arabia or islam or something.

Inside, i was led up to the front desk. They made me sign a paper. I couldn't read what it said but i kinda knew what it was. It was a paper asking me 'am I a christian'.

I signed on the paper, i am a christian.

After that, i was walked out to a different doorway leading outside. I saw people running around playing and doing their business. After that, i was sat down on a chair with a group of people in a semi circle facing the front speaker.

He looked kinda terrorist- like. He was sitting on a gatling gun. After that, he started shooting people in that semi circle. Bang bang bang bang until it got to me. I wasn't afraid, i felt that bullet hitting my heart and i knew i was going to die. Then i heard myself struggling to say "Lord please receive my spirit."

Then i woke up.

Okay, no offense to any islams there. That's what my dream was.

Anyway, anyone got interpretations? I don't mind if it's a dream. It's still cool. But if that's a vision, then things are going to get interesting.

It sounds to me that what you experienced was more than your average dream. What I'm about to say might sound a little whacky, but I noticed that your a Senior Moderator. I think that I can safely assume that you have heard similar things before. While I'm no interpretor, I suspect that the dream is of demonic origin. Here's my reason why.

A number of years ago(about17), my wife and I went to bed after taking in a church service. Anyway, we both fell asleep until I was woken up later that evening. Just before I woke up, it was like a lightbulb turned on inside of me and a voice said,"Claude, wake up!, Your wife is going to need you! Then I saw what appeared to look like 2 large filmy fog like ribbons. When I looked at the first one, the words -the spirit of insanity just came to me and when I looked at the 2nd one -I thought, a spirit of debauchery?, I knew that I had it wrong immediately, then the 2nd one came to me the way the 1st one had- a spirit of deception.

Then I immediately woke up to find my wife tossing and turning in her sleep. I woke her up and asked her if anything was wrong. This is the dream that she related to me. She was walking along a country road in northern Ontario where she grew up. She was going towards an area of the town where a whole bunch of cottages were located. As she approached a small wooden bridge, a large man that appeared to be out of his mind came up from under it and grabbed her. She said that he didn't say anything. He was just rambling and raving like a lunatic. Immediately, the Spirit of God confirmed the first ribbon that he had shown me in my spirit. She struggled with this madman and managed to break free. She ran up the road until he was out of sight. Afterwards as she approached the cottage area, she noticed that there were large groups of young people having a major party. People were revellous, and doing things that are better left unsaid. When she looked over her left shoulder, she noticed a small boy sitting sitting along the upper rail of those old style cedar fences. She didn't know how to explain it but she knew that the boy was not what he appeared to be.

Anyway, the boy approached her acting like a boy typically would and began asking her questions. He wasn't aware that she was on to him at first but, for some reason, my wife knew that the little boy was responsible for all of the revellry and debauchery going on in that camp. Finally she stopped dead in her tracks, looked at the little boy and asked,"why are you doing this" Immediately, the little boy's disposition changed and he said,"to Decieve people like these in order to destroy Jesus Lovers like you. It was at that very moment that I woke her up.

I have never experienced the gift of "discernment of spirits" in this way since. When I think about it, its easy to conclude that the Lord only makes these gifts available to his saints as they are needed. If what my wife experienced on that evening was just a so called silly dream, why did the Lord get involved and reveal the source of her nightmare. Whenever Christians are being persecuted for thier faith whether in the dreamstate or in reality, you can be sure that the devil has his signature work in it somewhere.

Hmmm... hard to say when it comes to dreams.

My own interpretation is that God is happy with your heart and that He knows that you would die for Him if you had to. Maybe He wants you to know that He is pleased with your heart and motivations and that you have the right attitude towards that things that really matter.

I live in … hope … that I will always be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past, and that my life will always honour Christ, whether I live or die (Philippians 1:20).

"Lord please receive my spirit."

Here I belive that if your dream was in fact from God he wants you to know that He knows that you have put your trust in Him. therefore He acknowledges that you are a faithful servant

I don't think it's of demonic origin 1. because it does not contradict in any biblical sense, and 2. it isn't trying to steer me away from Christ (if it is then that's the weakest demonic attack i've had).

Dream or vision, from God or demons or even just a crazy random lucid dream, in any case it isn't telling me much at this point. Except that i'm happy i didn't deny Christ in there .

In any case, i can't make it a big deal at the point yet. I was just wondering about your thoughts on this. Thanks for the replies.

Sharky what you think about yourself has nothing to do with what God sees/thinks. He sees your heart and i believe you have a good one
