Anyone who wants to hunt has access to hunting lands. Professional target shooters don't become professionals without access to guns when they are not professionals. What a complicated way to keep track on guns and shooters. Get rid of the guns, make it mandatory to keep guns in a gun safe and bullets in a different location with the gun's firing mechanism separated from the body of the gun and stop selling guns to people who do not have a justifiable reason for having one - hunting and access to hunting lands, professional target shooter and such.
That is not even close to being true. I personally know someone in CA who held a home intruder at gun point until the police arrived. That guy had broken into other homes and had beaten an elderly couple when he robbed their home.Nearly every rape or home invasion happens just as if no guns were owned by the victims.
This just shows how ignorant you are about gun ownership. People don't get licensed to own a gun, neither are the guns licensed. The guns were legal, he had a license for them
One is licensed to 'carry' a concealed weapon, not to own the weapon. Big difference.Nevada is a "shall issue" state for concealed carry.
If you feel safer because guns don't need to be licensed then okay. I think it is amazingly short sighted and uncomprehending. The point is obvious however. More guns means more chances of a gun being used to shoot people. No guns means no shootings. Millions of guns means lots of shootings. That is how it happens. Just like no back yard pools means no back yard pool drownings and millions of back yard pools means lots of back yard pool drownings. One is licensed to 'carry' a concealed weapon, not to own the weapon. Big difference.
Nevada does not require any guns to be registered, hand guns or long guns.
Just correcting your incorrect statement. If you feel safer because guns don't need to be licensed then okay.
That is true but not enforceable, neither would it stop people from murdering people.I think it is amazingly short sighted and uncomprehending. The point is obvious however. No, they would buy them back and then destroy them. Hardly anybody needs a gun.
With the crazies in the congress and the even crazier crazies in the white house you're right. Wait until next time ... maybe the USA will have a sane president then.
At what price for each one? There are an estimated 250 to 300 million of them.
Remember too that unless the price is high enough, most people wouldn't comply--especially those who use guns in a criminal way.
On top of that, even honest gun owners would become criminals by law if they decided to keep the guns they own.
Just tax the 1%! After they pay to clear everyone's student loan debt and then fund college tuition, healthcare, and whatever else Bernie wanted, they can foot the bill to buy back everyone's guns. It doesn't matter to me though, seeing as I don't own any guns (wink-wink).
Probably not, but nobody knew he had them there. The guns were legal, he had a license for them. He took them in and nobody saw him do it. Probably in cases or something that concealed them. And now Mr shooter, legal owner of 23 guns, had 12 of them to shoot people from his hotel room window.

That's absolutely crazy
Your propose method isn't going to be a phone app or something that the crowds have. Be realistic please
So your detection method foretells the future so they can kill the shooter before he shoots?
It shouldn't take security more than 6 minutes to reach the room door. The Vegas shooter shot somebody in the hall 6 minutes before anybody else.
