  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Don't underestimate the power of denial. She can think she's right, but I know the truth. LOL Anyway, this reminds me of a funny story. I work in the family business selling German-made piano parts. There's a show once a year in Anaheim, CA called the NAMM show. That stands for National Association of Music Merchants. Anyone who is involved in the music industry in some way is there. Everybody goes to this thing. Fender, Gibson, Martin, Zildjian, Paiste, Marshall, etc.

Anyway, one night my dad was out to dinner with the guys from Renner in German and they were coming back from dinner, but were having a hard time finding their way back to the hotel. So one of the German's came to the most logical conclusion. He said to my dad "You know what's happend? They've obviously moved the hotel." ^_^ That's a German for ya. LOL
LOLOL
oh that's reallly baddddddd. It might be charming if only he was kidding.
hahha

Hey, my girlfriend went to that NAMM show religiously. She used to work for recording studios in the early to mid 90's so I heard all about the show & who was there.

Yep doing well here. Lot's going on, but I don't want to derail the thread too much more. LOL

I'm seriously considering adding a bow to the tool shed and taking up bow hunting.

Sounds like a good idea. Can't have the bow population getting out of control. ^_^

As for a .22, my brother has a .22 and I've seen it not fire more times on the range than I'm comfortable with in a confrontation situation.

We used to train with Ruger Mk II~~we'd put a soda/beer can onto some hay bales and practice emptying the entire magazine (10+1) into the can at 25 feet...now that's good training. The 5.5" bull barrel barely moves and the shots can be put in fast and tight.

The person is the weapon; the firearm is the tool...

I have. I think that's the .22 my brother bought at the gun show last year. I always tease him about it an say that he doesn't have to worry about "stopping power" with that gun, because the other guy will die laughing. He still carries it everywhere.

That's a North American Arms .22 revolver. It has a grip (after market) that the gun swivels and fits into. Now, check this out, the first two chambers get CCI shotshells.

The laughter stops (as well as any adversary) with the first shot. The rest are just to keep away the lawsuit. ;)

That's assuming that gun will fire when you pull the trigger. I've already seen that gun not fire more times than I'm comfortable with. Also, the 'one shot drop' is a myth where handguns are concerned. Now, a shotgun is a different story.
