10% of Republicans and 25% of Independents say they will not vote for Trump as a result of the verdict. If those polling figures are accurate (big disclaimer), then that's enough to cause Trump to lose.
That may be true - but my comment was about the possibility of Trump being personally punished.

I believe all these cases against Trump are means of election interference.

I feel they should come back to reality as soon as possible. A return to principles such as honesty with constituents will benefit the party and our country. The sooner the better. It doesn't behoove them to continue their fake Trump fealty any longer. I certainly wouldn't consider voting for any who continue enabling Donald's self-serving agenda. The party is too shortsighted. And much too dishonest.
I never felt that Trump had a chance to win the general election and thought that the Republicans were nominating him to lose. But it seems all the cases against him actually increased his support. Now will a conviction hurt him?
The fact that he is still being discussed as a viable candidate is remarkable. What other candidate could act so recklessly after he lost, be absolutely hated by half the country, say things that would end the career of other politicians, be indicted on multiple felonies and now convicted of 34 and still be dead even with the Democratic nominee?
I wouldn’t count him out.

Yeah, it's a bit disconcerting to see Americans acting so obstinate in fealty to a convicted felon for sure. I don't count him out for the simple fact there seems to be a plethora of crooked stool pigeons still ready and willing to cheat for him. But he cannot win a fair election at this point in my view. Felony convictions do not earn votes from honest Americans. Maybe there's fewer honest Americans now.

I don’t think he will win by cheating. Making that claim about Biden without evidence was his biggest mistake. If he loses and tries to claim that again there will be a die hard remnant of zealots who will believe it and there’s no telling what they might do.
They are a minority of the people who will vote for him though.

I fear what those misguided people might do to him once they come to the realization Donald Trump was deceiving and manipulating them for all these years. I think for the man's own safety he should be confined to prison for the rest of his natural born life. ;)

Maybe he will get elected and surprise everyone by doing a good job, finding a solution in Ukraine, lowering inflation and boosting the economy

If I was still a gambling man I would take some of that action. I don't believe it is possible for him to do a good job as president. He's great on TV and social media though. He could do well there. But as the leader of the free world the Donald is not well equipped. He would be high risk simply because he has so much debt and so little will to use his own money for those kinds of things. We are still uncovering some of his previous money indiscretions while campaigning and in office. Remember that program President Reagan created, "Just Say No"? He originally meant it as a campaign slogan against voting for convicted felons.

Even if he goes to jail he will know where he is. I can’t say that for Biden.

Will these cases interfere with Trump’s desire to become only the second president to win two split terms?
Prolly.
Are these cases examples of “illegal elections interference”, nope.

I think it's increased the level of support. I don't think it's increased the numbers.

Then why are right-wing Christians so averse to it?
First you missed the point. Simply expressing the truth and facts and reality does not make anyone a Right wing Christian. Thats your determination and a misrepresentation.

You are mislabelling things. Christians who support the truth or anyone who stands for the truth are not doing anything political or religious. They are just expressing the truth. Thats it full stop. The truth and facts have no feelings or political views and those who express the truth are not responsible for how people take that.

Christians who, as Christians, pretend to be presenting the truth are bearing false witness--just like you are doing in the thread about Palestine. It they are doing it in support of right-wing political policies then they are right-wing Christians

No its just the truth no matter what. The truth and facts don't care about politics and beliefs. So long as it can be either established by scientific fact, logic, or lived reality then its the truth no matter what regardless of identity or politica or religious agenda. Thats all I go by.

Obviously Right Wing Christians are in the name. Anything Right Wing seems politically motivated. That sounds more like using politics to push Christianity which sort of defeats the purpose of Christianity in how Christ and the earlier followers said to spread the Gospel.

So I would not be judging Christianity on this. Christ said there would be many that come in His name who are like wolfs in sheeps clothing.

But really we should be able to stand on a platform of Christ teachings as its just plain good ploicy anyway. But Christians cannot force Gods Will. We tried that and it failed miserably.

Calling your political opinions "the truth" does not automatically make them either true or Christian.

No, it is pushing Right Wing policies in Christ's name--whether they fulfill the Gospel of Christ or not.

I'm certainly not judging Christianity by the actions of any particular sect..
