From what I can tell it was as successful as any other riot has ever been. Things got busted and people got hurt and even killed. That seems to me to be the goal of every riot. What do you think would have made it more successful?

Of course these outcomes would have been vigorously fought against, but President Trump would still be in power and deploy what force that he was able to muster to quell the “uprising”.

Ignore the Constitution and try to stay in office at all costs.

Why would you think Biden or his successors would want to do that? Seeing as Trump left office when scheduled, why would removing Trump from office retroactively have any effect upon someone willing to do what you propose? If someone had the ability to ignore the Constitution and remain in office by use of any means necessary, then I don't see how the impeachment process would even do the job. How could the impeachment process be more effective at removing a person who was powerful enough to ignore the Constitution and an election? If you are concerned that someone may do what you suggest in the future, the best way to ensure that no one garners that much power is to decrease the power of the Presidency. I would support that 100%.

I have no idea what would have happened. Perhaps the rioters would have been gunned down by those protecting Pence? I think we have different ideas on what constitutes a narrow escape. Nonetheless whatever would have happened in your hypothetical confrontation, the nation would still be here.

Sure.. reverse the trend of corporate takeovers of the last 60+ years so the cream doesn't keep rising to the top among a few individuals who have amalgamated to form a new world government, but is spread out among many as it once was. Where people no longer need to flock to the cities while a handful of people own the farms, and where small towns and industry flourished. It's called sharing the land and the wealth. Worked well back in those days. But greed and power has a way of funnelling everything to the top few.

Yet isn't it interesting who really has benefited from the actions of that day. Certainly not Trump or his party. Must be why he said beforehand not to play into the left's hands. Oh well.
