Father, through Your eyes, I see that I am given strength through Christ Jesus.

You've always promised strength through the blessing of peace. Your beloved David glorified Your Name by proclaiming the strength of the Lord.

Psalms 29:11 (KJV) The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

This is incomprehensible to a rational man who doesn't know what You've done for us. But through Christ Jesus, who lives in us by the power and virtue of Your Living Word, we are strengthened. And we can know the gloriousness of that possession of strength. And we are strengthened so we can obey You, carrying Your Good News to the ends of the earth. This is spiritual strength (with might by His Spirit in us) according to our faith which dwells in our hearts, being rooted and grounded in love. This spiritual strength is power that works in us, to His glory forever.

Ephesians 3:14-21 (KJV) 14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Because of Christ Jesus, who lives in me, I possess the strength to do all Godly things.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

May all things I do through Christ not only strengthen me, but may they bring glory and honor to God, who has planted in me His love.

This is so wonderful and a newly dawning revelation to me after being caught up in very self oriented and self pleasing churches at the beginning of my walk with the Lord. I was nearly destroyed in those churches, but God saved me out of them...

You ladies are such an encouragement and a blessing to me. I have been having a bit of a hard time. I'm feeling pretty scared and small and tired and lonely. You ladies apply the Word of God as balm to my wounds, as nourishment for my spirit, and conviction of my soul. I pray someday to be the kind of warrior and encourager that you gals are and to minister the way you do. Thank you for your faithfulness in our Lord.

I feel scared, small, tired and lonely nearly all the time...but as I have pressed in to the Lord something so wonderful keeps happening...when I am weak...then I am strong...His strength fills me up...even when I don't realize it is happening. And there are times when I do really know He is "there"...He is "here"!

This vulnerable is is much safer than the place I lived in before...thinking
"I" knew something and could work out my life in my own strength...strange how backwards it seems...yet it is forwards...LOL

Thanks for sharing angel, and yes, I know just what you mean I think. It really is thru our total surrender to Him, our dying to our own weaknesses, that we feel the strength of Him. I love the safety of being vulnerable to Him as well. Very well put. Keep praising Him and the oil of His joy will cover you so completely that any thoughts of loneliness will slide right off, for we have the greatest friend in the world in Jesus. He's my friend! And I know He's your friend too! And, goodie goodie, He's divinely appointed us to be friends here seeking deeper fellowship!

And thank you dear pilgrim for your faithfulness in our Lord. Isn't it an encouragement to know that God divinely connects us to lift each other? He's so awesome, and His Word is so soothing, even His conviction is sweet for He never condemns us, but rathers offers us the free gift of grace and redemption.

I thought of these posts on strength this morning as I was reading the 84th Psalms.

Wherever we are in our walk with Christ (which is a walk of love), we have that ever-living hope in us that is Jesus Christ, and the knowledge that He will strengthen us, and grow us up. May that knowledge be so strong that we never are deceived into the something-less that prowls around seeking to destroy us; may we rather be a strong light of His love so we can change others (not let them change us) because they see His glory shining through us.

Psalms 84:2-7 (KJV) 2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. 3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. 4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. 5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. 6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. 7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

It is so great that God gave us the longing to dwell in Him, for that is what pulls us out from the world and toward Him. And through Christ, who strengthens us, we are assured that we can do what we need to do, praising and obeying Him as we grow.

Is. 49:13-17 Let there be universal joy, for God will have mercy upon the afflicted, because of his compassion; upon his afflicted, because of his covenant. We have no more reason to question his promise and grace, than we have to question his providence and justice. Be assured that God has a tender affection for his church and people; he would not have them to be discouraged. Some mothers do neglect their children; but God's compassions to his people, infinitely exceed those of the tenderest parents toward their children. His setting them as a mark on his hand, or a seal upon his arm, denotes his being ever mindful of them. As far as we have scriptural evidence that we belong to his ransomed flock, we may be sure that he will never forsake us. Let us then give diligence to make our calling and election sure, and rejoice in the hope and glory of God.

God has taught me about comfort over the years. Comfort in times of affliction and about trusting Him. He has taught me not to worry because He is always there and will never leave me. No matter how chaotic things get in this world...I can always be at peace with the knowledge that He is at my side and that all will be well.
