For if indeed your sins are purged, it is in the presence of Christ, lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Cor 2:10-11)

Now God has spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things,... when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high; Heb 1:1-4
Wow! Thanks for bumping this post, keepitsimple. I'm glad I "stumbled" upon it. The OP is one of the most spot-on posts I've read since coming here. I got about two pages into it but battery is about to die so gonna read the rest tomorrow. I have a feeling it's gonna be something special. Thanks again - God bless!

The OP encouraged those who read the post to share what they had learned.

When Jesus said that we are to enter at the narrow gate (Mat.7:13-14).. I always wondered what OT verse he got that from. But recently I watched a video on the Hebrew alphabet. When the speaker got to the letters Hey and Het.. Showing Hey in what looked like an English small case letter n. Except that the top curve did not meet the left post (like the n does). The letter Het looks exactly like the English letter n. No opening. No way to go but straight down.

The man said of that opening (a narrow passage) in the letter Hey that it was a way out [ arrow <--- ].. indicating life.. while another arrow (within the confines of the lower part of the letter) pointed down \/ to destruction.

He said that the Hey represented unleavened bread - no sin.. while the letter Het represented leavened bread - sin/pride. That is why 'few there be (of prideful people) that find it'.

So watching the video, I saw the connection with what Jesus said "Enter by the narrow gate that leads to life." It's a narrow passageway compared to the larger area of the letter that leads downward.

You must be humble to find it. Lean not to pride being wise in your own eyes. Lean not to the thinking of the world.
"Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts. And let him return to the Lord (return = repent) [take the open narrow passage of Hey]
And He will have compassion (God is love 1Jn 4:16) on him (who chooses it), and He (Hey) will abundantly pardon (his waywardness - going the wrong way). Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near." Isa.55:7,6.

"Pride goes before a fall". "Knowledge puffs up but love edifies". "God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble".

The letter Hey is in God's Hebrew Tetragrammaton name. Yud Hey Vav Hey. God put a Hey in Abram's name- Abraham, and in Sarai's name- Sarah. Each being given God's ability to have a child.

Like John 1:12 says that one who believes is given ability to become a child of God, be born again, a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Jesus had used the Hebrew letters Hey and Het to teach from.

So applying what I've learned.. Jesus said "I am the way (the passage way of Hey), I am the truth, and life. No one comes to the Father (Hey) but by Me." Jn.14:6.
{some versions don't capitalize the M in 'me'. But the word Me is capitalized in the following verse, or perhaps not in your particular version.. different scribes, different translators}

In Acts the resurrected Jesus spoke to the apostle Paul ".. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness (Het) unto the light and from the power of Satan to God (Hey), that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me (the way of Hey)." (Acts 26:17-18)

"For God so loved the world (in Het) that He gave of His only Son that whosoever shall believe in Him (shall find Hey) and not perish (Het) but have everlasting life." Jn.3:16.
