just another day here and hoping to stay out of trouble tonight, been drifiting down that road with friends and partying. I need Jesus more than ever.Praying I don't lose sight of what's really important tonight.

Remember The Passion of The Christ!

gibson5.jpg

Remember How much He loves you!
Remember He suffered to prove His love for you!
Remember He loves you even when you are struggling with sin!
Remember that in Him there is fullness of joy!
Jesus never gives up! His love is eternal!
When He fell with His cross repeatedly He got up and went on for love of you
so that when you fall you would see Jesus struggling beneath His cross and say, "Jesus You stood up for me. Help me to get up and follow you."
Jesus said, "The one who comes to Me I will in no wise cast out!"

He comitted to you 100%! He is the Author and the Finisher of your faith!

I'm praying for you,
kisstheSon.

I'm glad you brought this thread to the top... it seems like it's been such a blessing to many here... and it allowed me to find it for the 1st time.

I would like to share this poem that speaks from the heart of trials:

Trials

I did not know His love before, the way I know it now.
I could not see my need for Him, my pride would not allow.
I had it all, without a care, the "Self-sufficient" lie.
My path was smooth, my sea was still, not a cloud was in my sky.

I thought I knew His love for me, I thought I'd seen His grace,
I thought I did not need to grow, I thought I'd found my place.
But then the way grew rough and dark, the storm clouds quickly rolled;
The waves began to rock my ship, I found I had no hold.

The ship that I had built myself was made of foolish pride.
It fell apart and left me bare, with nowhere else to hide.
I had no strength or faith to face the trials that lay ahead,
And so I simply spoke His name and bowed my weary head.

His loving arms enveloped me, and then He helped me stand.
He said, "You still must face this storm, but I will hold your hand."
So through the dark and lonely night He guided me through pain.
I could not see the light of day or when I'd smile again.

Yet through the pain and endless tears, my faith began to grow.
I could not see it at the time, but my light began to glow.
I saw God's love in brand new light, His grace and mercy, too.
For only when all self was gone could Jesus' love shine through.

It was not easy in the storm, I sometimes wondered why.
At times I thought, "I can't go on."I'd hurt, and doubt, and cry.
But Jesus never left my side He guided me each day.
Through pain and strife, through fire and flood, He helped me all the way.

And now I see as ne'er before how great His love can be.
How in my weakness He is strong, how Jesus cares for me!
He worked it all out for my good, although the way was rough.
He only sent what I could bear, and then He said, "Enough!"

He raised His hand and said, "Be still!" He made the storm clouds cease.
He opened up the gates of joy and flooded me with peace.
I saw His face now clearer still, I felt His presence strong,
I found anew His faithfulness, He never did me wrong.

And now I know more storms will come, but only for my good,
For pain and tears have helped me grow as nothing ever could.
I still have so much more to learn as Jesus works in me;
If in the storm I'll love Him more, that's where I want to be!

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James_1:2-4_NIV

That poem speaks for me....I understand now why He allows pain....and allowing us to get to nearly the breaking point. He allows our wills to be broken, and by His grace sheilds us by allowing the pain to disintegrate our wills, but nothing else. It's as if He's chiseling away our stony exteriors to reveal who He knows is inside, behind that fortress of will.

How excruciating the process is, but necessary. He's relentless, and I thank Him with all of my being that He is.

What a beautiful poem. It zeros right in on that process and the fruit it bears.

God bless you for posting it. I'm glad you found this thread ImHisServant.

When I don't know
He does
When all is a fright
He's a PLace of calm
where His peace reigns
and He soothes our pains
Holds us close
and says to all
that is morose
Shoo! Go away!
For in my arms
this child
will stay...

Leastone,

I absolutely love all of your posts.I was saved along time ago but fell out of tune not long after. I recently got connected again and want so very badly to be close to God. I read your guidlines and I will put them to use. I have the enemy speak to me all the time. I really want to be close to God. My main struggle is controlling my negative thoughts. I can whatch what i say with not to much of a problem but how can I learn to control my racing thoughts this I need to know its so hard for me.

Hi LFoxx:

Praising God will give you the most immediate results, as the enemy hates hearing that. Developing a constant and continuous habit of praise will soften your attitude towards the Lord such that an awareness of His Presence within you and around you will be stronger than anything else. One of the enemy's biggest deceptions is to get you to focus on him...thinking that you need to constantly fight against him. All this does is distract you from the Lord Jesus, your first Love. Keep your focus, your attention always towards Him - through praise, for "He inhabits the praises of His people" - and those negative thoughts will fade away.
