Grease - auditions - reality show. Anyone watching?

Grease was my all-time favorite movie growing up. I just found out this past week that they are going to be doing a reality-talent-show on TV for young aspiring actors who are hoping to land a role in the Broadway production of "Grease".

I've already got my DVR set to record it. Anyone else planning on tuning in?

Saw it last night. I don't like Grease at all, so I won't be watching (at least not more than half-heartedly while my wife is). It seemed like a pretty well-done show though, and I like the three people involved (producer, director, and...?). It was definitely nice to have a break from the "I don't mean to be rude, but you're ugly and untalented" style of criticism

My only complaint was that it seemed like every 30 seconds they were showing clips from the next stage and talking about it. It really seemed to cut in to the available time for auditions. Maybe they were padding time after not getting as many interesting audtitions as they hoped for, but either way I would've liked more time spent on the actual audtitions.

Got to see it last night! What fun! Of course, I agree, they used up a lot of time by showing the whole "coming up next" clips.

Some of the singing was great, while others...ahh, but it is a talent show.

Anyone have some favorites picked out yet?

I watched it and thought it was great!! It's kind of a combination of "So you think you can dance" with "American Idol". I think it's going to be fun. I really like the young looking blonde. I don't think they had very good luck with finding the right guys. The one guy who was pretty good looked like someone's father, if they chose him wonder how they are going to find the right Sandy. Better than watching all shoot em dead junk and all the sex stuff they have on now

I watched it.. I'll probably record the next one, and watch something else though.. That show had way too many commericals, and if I record it, I can just fast forward through them..
Although I do think they should have kept that kid, that was there for his brother that had died recently.

Yes I was surprised they let him go and kept that old one(who could be someones father) Little to many commercials but they have to pay for it some how. I think they had to much time for the show. Maybe next one will be better.

You know what would be disturbing? If that really young-looking blond girl with the bangs played Sandy and the older guy (in his 40's, I think) played Danny. That just wouldn't look right.

Yeah... but it doesn't make good sense for a director to cast according to America's vote either. There has to be a catch...
