Time.com (CNN) political analysts grade both VP candidates an overall "B." Wasn't Biden supposed to kick her butt? Isn't Joe Biden the great debator? Wasn't Sarah Palin supposed to melt into a puddle?
It was not a tie. Biden was by far the superior debater; which is to be expected since he has been at it for decades as a Senator. Palin just succeeded in not having a meltdown like she did with Couric. She hardly actually debated at all, just parroted the talking points that they crammed into her head over the past two weeks.

By the way; Satan is not a Liberal. If you want to see what the devil is really like I suggest getting some good photo portraits of Hitler, or Stalin, or dare I say, Dobson, and look carefully at the eyes. Suggested reading-- C.S. Lewis' "The Screwtape Letters", for insights into the nature of evil.

Yep Biden lied again like he always does. He kept on parroting the same jibberish about the tax cuts for oil companies when they would apply to all companies. I can't believe he can stand up there with a straight face.

Hey, I didn't do the grading - Time.com did. Don't blame me if your boy failed to outperform the rube from the sticks.

Wrong. By definition, he is the quintessential liberal.

Biden:

"John wants to add $300 million, billion in new tax cuts per year for corporate America and the very wealthy while giving virtually nothing to the middle class."

...of course he emphasized oil companies because of their tax breaks in light of massive profits.

Nope, he kept on saying oil companies are going to get 4 billion dollars in tax breaks. It sounds as if the tax cuts are going only to the oil companies. They would also be going to GM, Ford, and Chrysler and every other corporation which supplies American jobs.

Another direct quote:

"We're not going to support the $300 billion tax cut that they have for corporate America and the very wealthy. We're not going to support another $4 billion tax cut for ExxonMobil."

Listening carefully is a learned skill. :)

Yes and it was a bold faced lie.
Not supporting corporate America? Yes..our companies are doing just fine.
Ask Ford, GM, and Chrysler.

I think management with Ford, GM, and Chrysler are wealthy and doing fine despite the tax breaks they recieved. Don't confuse bad management and the repercussions of a Bush economy despite his tax breaks from the reality. It's not a lie.

We are talking about the corporations themselves. You really say they are doing fine? You can't be serious.

Reading is a learned skill. This is what I said, "I think management with Ford, GM, and Chrysler are wealthy and doing fine...".

And when it came to tax breaks, they did do fine. Can't help they are suffering under one of the worse economies under one of the most inept admins in presidential history.

Yes and reading is a skill and John McCain wants tax breaks for corporations to help them out during this downturn. I guess you can't argue with that so you bring up management compensation.

I think management compensation is a huge subject given the economy? No? Moreover, they are benefiting from the tax breaks Obama and Biden mention. So it is relevant.

And btw, most large American corps use the codes available to pay no taxes.

The poll here breaks 30 to 15 for Biden:
http://christianforums.com/showthread.php?t=7292690&page=16

We'll see a variety of polls of voters today. That's what counts. Remember that the pundits largely thought the first debate was a tie or that McCain had won slightly on points, but the American people thought Obama won and Obama's numbers shot up.

I predict the same for this debate.

The reason why the pundits always rate the debate a tie is that the networks try hard to choose half Democrats and half Republicans, and they rate the debate in a partisan fashion.

Even though Palin didn't answer a single question, just gave her own little memorized speeches, she could have scraped by in the debate if she had appeared Vice-Presidential. But she didn't.

Everyone in the country knows that we've been led by a dummy for the past eight years, and now the Republicans are trying to hoist another one on us. The difference between 2000 and 2004, when Bush won the election (well, some still dispute that) and 2008 is that we know where dummy leadership brings us.

If passing the bar was set at Bush level (i.e. calling a nuke-you-lar a nuke-you-lar and appearing disingenuous but decisive) then, on those terms only, Palin passed.

The only reason why she is popular in Alaska is that she taxed oil companies $1200 per capita and handed the money over to the citizens. In other words, their loyalty was bought and paid for with twelve hundred bucks.....

Only problem is, in the disastrous state Bush has left the US in in 2008, she doesn't have any similar goodies to give the American taxpayers--all she has is her ineptitude, her extremist religious views, and her determination to drill.

Palin may not have actually answered any of the questions, but she was honest enough to tell you she'd decided to rather go on a little tangent. Seriously, she downright came out and told people that she wasn't going to answer the question and would rather tell you about something.

Exactly. She skillfully used the 'debate' to advance the McCain-Palin ticket. Why go head to head with someone who is clearly more knowledgable about the questions asked. It was a loser's game for her to play. She turned it into a winner for herself. I was very impressed, if not with her answers, with her persona and her determination to state her case directly to America. Three cheers! However she did make a huge blunder. I started a new thread to discuss this titled: "Palin touches third rail, dooms ticket."
