I personally wouldn't want a dog around if I was eating at an outdoor restaurant somewhere. All I want is a dog sitting there begging for my food. That said, I sort of think its a good idea that they are going to let municipalities decide.

I guess this is good news for some people who have dogs. I myself have two dogs, but don't know if I want them sitting right next to me in restaurants. This story kind of reminds me of that scene in the cartoon "Lady and the Tramp," where the two dogs eat a plate of spaghetti. :p

Having been attacked by a German Shepherd when I was eight, my perception of dogs is that they all have eight rows of 42 teeth and each tooth is eight inches long (made out of surgical steel) -- and quite frankly, I'd accept a job as an FBI undercover informant in the Ku Klux Klan before I'd eat in a restaurant which allows dogs!

In fact, my feeling about dogs is (with apologies to the Latter Day Saints): "As cats are, dogs can become." :)
