Governor Jeb Bush, Dogs Given Right To Dine Out.

Tallahassee, FL (AHN) - Governor Jeb Bush signed a bill leaving it up to municipalities to decide whether they want dogs sharing their outdoor restaurants.

I personally wouldn't want a dog around if I was eating at an outdoor restaurant somewhere. All I want is a dog sitting there begging for my food. That said, I sort of think its a good idea that they are going to let municipalities decide.

I guess this is good news for some people who have dogs. I myself have two dogs, but don't know if I want them sitting right next to me in restaurants. This story kind of reminds me of that scene in the cartoon "Lady and the Tramp," where the two dogs eat a plate of spaghetti.

When I lived in Key West, it was common to have dogs running in and out of restaurants and bars.

I remember that Pepe's had a Setter that I liked to play with.

In the Carribean, good luck finding a bar that doesn't have a dog.

Jeb's on the right track here, it should be up to the cities or the establishment owners. Personally, I probably wouldn't go to one of these places, but they have a right to allow it. Now if Jeb could just follow these sorts of things all the time...

I hate most dogs, I wouldn't go to a restaurant that had them running in and out. But yeah, it should be up to the establishment or the town and what the people there want.

Having been attacked by a German Shepherd when I was eight, my perception of dogs is that they all have eight rows of 42 teeth and each tooth is eight inches long (made out of surgical steel) -- and quite frankly, I'd accept a job as an FBI undercover informant in the Ku Klux Klan before I'd eat in a restaurant which allows dogs!

In fact, my feeling about dogs is (with apologies to the Latter Day Saints): "As cats are, dogs can become."

I certainly think Jeb Bush should be given the right to dine out.
