  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I never played that game, what makes it the best? I wanted to play it but I dont because of religious reasons

I know one of my cousin's friends handed him the game and told him that if he could beat it, he could have it. He beat it but said it was hard and for him to say a game is hard, scares me. :D He said it was a really good game, though so I might have to rent it just to see.

WRT the OP, I play so few new games that I can't really say. The best new game that I played was Gun but I didn't finish it because I don't like shooters with a controller. I hope to get it for PC after I upgrade or get a SmartJoy Frag for my PS2 so I can play it on there.

The graphics looked good but the game-play I saw was very hack-and-slash, I dont know for sure because like I said, ive never played it and I dont plan to

Do you revere some of the deities portrayed in the game or is it for another reason?

Even though it came out in 04, I still play Half Life 2 more than any game and enjoy it more than any game that has come out this year. Not the single player, the online multiplayer. It's an absolute blast and I never get enough of it. So, HL2 for me! It's my game of the past two years :D

Let me count the ways! It's amazing in every aspect. The story is great. The graphics are beautiful (some of the best on PS2) and overall it's just a ton of fun to play. Whoever designed the levels was really quite talented. The puzzles are fun and the battles are some of the most entertaining I've ever played. They take some liberties with the mythology, especially regarding pandora's box, but aside from a few changes that are made, I think they makers really did their homework.

I guess you could say it's somewhat hack-n-slash...the thing I like is that the combos aren't too difficult. You unlock new move and combos as you progress and you can use them effectively without too much trouble. There are many parts that require some thought and sound tactics though. You can't just run through the whole thing button mashing. The puzzles get pretty challenging. It's a thinking man's hack-n-slash :)

Ares is the Greek god of war. His reputation for cruelty and out and out rage is ledgendary. Some Neopagan sects today forbid worshiping him because of this.

In the game you have to KILL Ares....I really dont want to make him angry. I am somewhat affraid of a god who's son was so murderous that he built himself a temple out of the bones and skulls of travelers he had killed.

Im already in a position to be wary because I am a devotee of Athena, and she struck Ares down during the Trojan war by driving a spear thrown by Diomedes into him.

Its somewhat like a Christian playing a game where you have to kill God

I can understand your trepidation. As a teen I really loved this series of adventure/war novels by Barry Sadler based on Longinus who was the soldier who pierced Jesus' side. He wiped his mouth and ingested some of Jesus Blood and Jesus cursed him to remain a soldier until He returned. The stories follow Longinus' life from then until modern times and often cast him at pivotal moments in history where he crosses paths with historical figures.

They were excellently written and I enjoyed them a lot but after becoming a Christian, I was uncomfortable reading them. So can understand and respect where you are coming from.

What were the morals in pong? Games don't have to be looked upon as life guides, they are just entertaining distractions.
We are not discussing PONG. We are discussing a game that has a sexual threesome, among other questionable elements.

Guild Wars was ok, most easy to use and stable little game I've ever installed though I must say. Got a little boring eventually.

How is Star Wars Battlefront 2? I've been thinking of trying it, but I get mixed reviews on it all the time.
