Google Alert - IMPORTANT!

I have to agree, this nothing new imo. You can find quite a lot of information out about anyone if you just know where to look. Take Texas for example, I can probably tell you more details about your home and taxes than you know thanks to all the free info you can find online from public records.

I hate to tell you all this, but any search engine will do this and has for years, it's called "Reverse Lookup".......webcrawler, yahoo, google, lycos, etc......

Yeah. Google is by no means the first. There's just no privacy left in this world.

well i typed in my phone number separated by a dash (eg 8765-4321) and all i got was a calculator showing the answer to the second half subtracted from the first half!

There is a new feature with Google that now has a calculator. So if you typed in 234-3456 it will give you the mathimatical answer. New Google Feature

There was a big to-do about this back when the feature was first released. It's a little like worrying about someone "discovering" your appearance as you walk down the street. It's all public information and always has been for decades and decades, along with lots more details made available through other public records.

Big deal, you can do this by going to verizon.net and doing a reverse lookup. There is no security issue here....
