  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The line of accusers is a long long line but i wonder how many can sack their pride and step out of that long line. be it we are defending another brother or sister and in doing so stand in the line of accusors or be it we become an accusor by acussing the acussors its still all the same line of accusors. A line we all need to step out of, if our pride allows us to do so.
Well is this not the point Rod?
"Watchmen" have no quams about "telling you like it is." No holds barred and with both barrels. In fact they defend their actions and hardness with just that attitude.
What is it? They can dish it out but not take it? How about them "getting out of line", them "sacking" their "pride", ceasing themselves from being the accusors????
Welcome them to the crowd. They are experiencing what their victims have been getting from them all along. They need to take some of their own medicine.
You cannot throw rocks at people and then when people pick up the rocks to throw back, begin to chant: "thou shalt not judge..."

We are all sinners! Every single one of us! Who are we to say that one is more so over the other? Who are we to say that because one has sinned they do not deserve our love and respect?

God sent Jesus for ALL of us. Not just the ones who think they speak so perfectly and just all the time, but us ALL!

Take the plank out of your own eyes before trying to yank it out of anothers!

And before someone gets on their high horse and tells me I'm being hyprocritical I'll be the first to say that I also need to take the plank out of my eyes.

We are to LOVE, not hate.

Whatchman...I'm sorry you feel the need to leave. I pray that God guide you in the way in which he wants for you to go. You are a beloved of our Lord and worthy of love.

I would not go so far as to suggest the watchmen are motivated by hate nor that they have planks in their eyes.
They just have misplaced motives and use incorrect methods to do what needs to be done.
No hate that I can tell.

DIDS...two wrongs don't make a right. Just because one person jumps off a bridge, should the other?

When the woman was being stoned what did Jesus say?

To the women or the people throwing the stones?
Are you suggesting we write the sins of the watchmen in the dust?

That would be a good idea. Write them in the dust and allow the wind to carry them away.

God will deal with his sins, just as God will deal with ours.

I'm backing out now. I'm just not comfortable in SF anymore. Sorry for interrupting everyones enjoyment. Carry on.

We are all sinners! Every single one of us!

Just an FYI - I can't speak for anyone but myself - but I am no sinner.

I was a sinner before Christ, but now am a Saint because of Jesus' sacrifice. The times I miss it are immediately whipped out when I repent and ask forgiveness and once again I am spotless.

Just thought I'd let you know.

What happened dids you was gone from the forum and when you can back you seemed like a new man. I thought wow dids has sure changed. You came asking for prayer stating how you understood we should not argue that strife and contention was a bad thing for a while i did not even see you in a debate thread let alone in the line of accusors. you were so gentle and filled with Christs Love and when someone asked for prayer i would see your name right at the top praying, one of the first to answer the call. Brother i liked that Dids he was a good example to me and made me see how i needed to change and how i needed to be kinder more gentle more loving and not so straight forward. But today i dont see you answering prayer requests and i see you in the heat of every debate thread and your standing in the same line of accusors that you say i am standing in. maybe its on the other side of the fence but matter not its still the accusor line. I dont see the million prayer on your signature anymore ?. I dont have a problem with you standing against me at all if i need it thats fine i can make the changes i need to, but what bothers me the most Dids is what happened to the Dids of a few months ago. I want him back. i want to see that gentleness that lack of strife and contention in your words. brother when you first came back you were a light to me hope that i could grow and overcome my own errors proof that i could overcome my faults just as you had done. The Dids of old is what i am today the Dids of new is what i strive to be. Dids i Love you dont fall backwards to where i am allow me time to catch up to where you were a few months ago when you first came back. I will get there brother dont give up on me. K

:swoon:Silly me...I walked right back into it AFTER I said I was leaving.

So, what you're saying Balance is that you can do whatever you want and sin however much you like because all is forgiven? You can be mean and nasty to people and think it's OK, but yet they can't be mean and nasty to you? Did Jesus not die for everyone? And who says that because we are saved we should be allowed to sin as much as we want? To me, a truly saved person would want to please God, and not use what you are using as a crutch and free rain to sin.I'm sorry, I don't understand your way of thinking.

And if you recall... he got handed his head on a platter.

It does not dispute what he was, the way he was called, WHO called him, and the message he delivered.

I would gladly be honored to be considered like him.

Having a prophetess for a best friend, I have witnessed time and again, over decades the growing process of a prophet.

God uses them because they have a tremendous love of truth and righteousness and holiness, and are willing to be disliked if that is the price to pay of obeying God as His mouthpiece.

They see black and white instead of gray like most of us.

All Paul's need their Barnamas' (sp), to run interference at times for them, letting them escape by the basket at night, because they can have some pretty sharp edges that make a lot of people mad.

But they are highly valuable among us, and we need to protect them while God is refining them.

God is refining all of us, not just them. It's just that their message is blunt and goes straight to the flesh to hack it off sometimes.

My friend the prophetess, is a lot softer than she used to be with her delivery. She was always afraid that if she softened the message, it was because she feared man more than she feared God. Thank God He's longsuffering with all of us.
 I totally agree. 100%.

Should we write yours? ;)

This thread is not about you, but it's taking a strong bend towards it. This thread was about how Watchman felt and what he was doing.
You sound really angry, D, in alot of what you say. Take a step back, and let this be about what it's supposed to be.

The thing that defines a true watchman is empathy.
I feel you have empathy. You can and do feel the hurts, pains sorrows, and even the darkness that exists in your brothers and sisters. But then it is all a matter of how you respond. Is your response really love? It is easy to see the wrongs in others. But are you feeling their pain? Do you see why they are the way they are? Have you been that way yourself?
Amen, thank you God.

Regardless of how much truth you think you have, you have error. We all do. The biggest error is thinking that you have none...because then you cannot and will never learn anything. Perfection does not have to. So what happens when you "demand" that others conform to your error? That is not good. What if you sway people from the truth into your error? That is not good.
Wrote a blog entry last night called "confession time?" that kind of touches on this same thing (from the personal angle, daimonizomai questioning itself) -- if anyone bes interested.
At some point you just have to give it up and believe that God is dealing with this. He is not laying around doing nothing. Faith that works through love accomplishes much. But urgency alone only breeds frustration and sorrow.
AMEN. Yes, very true. Thank You Lord.

Millerod, maybe I saw you in that biker bar once or twice. ;) I was once banned for sucker punching someone. lol, God has sure done a miracle in me!
With sorcery you can pack tenfold the punch and never break the skin on your knuckles. ;) OR have to take a hit back (unless you tangle with a rival adept -- not pretty. :( )
He bes working miracles in us ALL.
