Summer in Paris

This time I had lunch at a beautifully decorated restaurant in Art Nouveau. I didn't expect the food at all, but it was surprisingly delicious! On this day, I visited gardens with beautiful flowers and churches that have been restored and become more colorful.

At the bouquinistes along the Seine, I found "something" that was not sold at the museum shop of the Carnavalet Museum in the previous video, so I will show you what I bought.

After seeing some inspiration online, I decided to FINALLY just do it. Musings

This has been a year of unexpected surprises. The Lord has outdone Himself. I encountered several cosmic twins on the screen. All of them are on YouTube. I never spent time there. I'd find a link for a song and post it. That was the extent of my engagement.

One day I turned on the television and grabbed the Roku remote and clicked. That was two months ago. A lot has happened since then. I discovered a world of kindred spirits I wasn't aware of. And the rabbit hole is wondrous.

I shared a message earlier that was the catalyst for my latest project. Her words were like a lightening bolt to my heart. I saw and heard and marveled to myself aloud. She's just like me. Not completely of course. We're driven by a similar want to touch and inspire others.

To add a spark to their day that didn't exist. And to remind them they matter. In this great big place we occupy; you're important. Because maybe, maybe, no one ever told them that. Maybe they've never heard I care. Maybe they're not aware how much He loves them. Maybe I'm the reminder.

His hands. His feet. His heart. His love.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is cultivate a life that is filled with beautiful moments, whimsy and romance. So often we fall into the rut of "work, eat, sleep" repeat. And we act as if our life is something that is happening TO us, instead of us happening TO life.

We're a lot like human mirrors. We reflect what's inside of us. As believers, our reflection should emulate Christ's example. But oftentimes we're tainted. We've permitted the world and its rhetoric to mar our beauty. And our reflection changes.

Sometimes we have to taste our words to glimpse the condition of our hearts. If our focus is dark and negative that's a reflection of what we're carrying within. If we've reached the point where we're mimicking the world and no longer see one another as God's creation we've gone astray. If we've replaced the truth with tropes and talking points we've descended from love.

Everyone is worthy. No amount of data or research alters it. We're worthy because He said so. It matters not what man believes or society says. All that matters for Christians is God's perspective. When we encounter lies that say differently we should refute them.

You're enough. You're fearfully and wonderfully made. No devil in hell can change that. And when you hear otherwise, you'd better follow with a but. But the Lord said. For the truth makes us free. It liberates us from darkness and breaks the chains.

Some of us have forgotten. We're caught up in a web of despair and woe. We've lost our glimmer and we're beginning to look like him. But the remedy is simple. We need another dip. We need to go down into the water and get a fresh baptism of Him. We need to let Him wash away the pain and sadness and disappointment. We need to relinquish the ugliness and return to beauty once more.

When you're clean you see the lie for what it is. You dwell in I Am and no longer keep company with the one on his belly. You can see through him.

Prioritizing Self-Care

This summer has taught me that self-care, love and healing happens from within. I've made it a goal to do one thing every day that makes me feel most like myself. As someone who is currently dealing with anxiety and stress, I've been really focusing on ways I can improve my mental health. Romanticizing life and enjoying the little things makes such a big difference. I hope any of you who might be struggling, will remember that even if it's something as little as watching a comfort movie or making yourself a meal, that's self-care, and it's so so important.

How Art Journaling Heals My Soul

And whenever I’m able to bring something to life, I feel like I got stronger, that my fight got one more ally. That today I am Me, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is meer than me.
