Now a pastor who says "right, go see a doctor AND come to the healing service on wed (and the doctor may be the means through which God heals)" is quite another matter.

That is the situation I have seen with serious illness/issues...Not with things like a sprained ankle or a cold.

Wasn't one of the deciples a dr?--God uses conventional medicine, herbs, faith healing--He can do what He wants, including not healing at all, by any means.
I, too detest, fakery. One lady I know went to some faith healing thing years ago. Some young man, who supposedly was blind from birth was led to the stage where he was "healed." They pointed to the floor and asked him what color is the floor--he said light brown, what color is this handkerchief?--He said white--And what color is this lady's blouse?--Tourqoise!---Someone who has been blind from birth can not tell what color something is--they have never seen it and can not describe it by the names we've given them--they have to be taught. She just happens to be a worker for the blind. They can only sense color by heat--red is a hot color, white is a cool color. Last time she went to any faith healing.

There's also no viable explanation as to why god would allegedly hide from scrutiny. Surely proof that faith healing works would bring more people to him, so why the performance anxiety? And if it's rare, why make the bar to achieving it so impracticably high for most humans?

And this is where you get stopped dead in your tracks.

Prove it.

Either it didn't happen, or you're remarkably selfish for withholding this medical breakthrough from people who really need it.

I have never personally witnessed it with a serious illness, because I have never known a Christian who has come down with a serious illness, but I do whole-heartedly have faith that one could be healed by laying of the hands. But a pastor or healer does not want to be blamed for the death of someone nowadays if the person didn't really believe in the healing spirit, because you can be sued, so they kind of have to tell you to see a doctor so they aren't liable.

God wants followers with faith. Him "proving" Himself, would destroy faith.

I am not feeling well and conventional doctors say nothing is wrong when I know something is.

If they say nothing is wrong, what is it that is?

So, I made an appointment with a holistic doctor because they get to the root of the problem.

As opposed to the Medical Doctors, who tend to just mess around. That begs the question, why not go there in the first place?

No don't answer that.

(This is starting to sound rather "farmer-y"...)

Only thing is he uses Reiki, Kineisiology, energy healing, etc. I was raised that some of these rituals are satanic or witchcraft.

Or fake.

Believe me, I am reluctant to go but I am sick of having this sickness that no one seems to know. I don't want it to worsen. I pray to God to heal me soon. I cry everyday because I am in pain and desperate. What are your views on these doctors? Is it okay to go? What would you do? Your views/ experiences?

No, don't go.

Go back to your doctor and ask for him to refer you to someone who can give you a second opinion and/or get more details as to why he says there is "nothing wrong".

I'd like to remind everyone of a CF Rule: Do not give professional legal, financial, medical, or other counseling. Do not direct, imply, or suggest that others should disregard doctors' orders regarding medical diagnosis and/or treatment.

So what's the reasoning behind this? Giving people bad medical advice can get them killed. Don't stop chemotherapy to try and pray away your cancer.

Now that it's out of the way:

You're the "true-believer" type...the kind of person who won't let reality, facts, statistics, or studies get in the way of your irrational belief that there are people with a healing touch. The reality is that these exploitative frauds con the disabled and the ill out of money when they are desperate and/or dying. After all...a corpse can't take you to court.

However, nothing I can say will change your mind. You'll never admit that faith healing doesn't work, because the moment you admit it, it's true because you don't believe. The problem is that it still doesn't work in spite of your misplaced faith in it.

So God prefers that people die of diseases that are easily curable by the laying on of hands, just because he likes people to believe in him without evidence.

Sorry, but that's knobbish behaviour

No, it wouldn't. There are plenty of examples in the Bible of people who saw what Jesus/God could do and yet still were able to choose to not follow him.

Yo.
What's up?

Holistic, huh?
Holistic, Homeopathy and Naturopathy are not all the same fields.

I'm very interested in pursuing a degree in Homeopathy.
I have been comparing it to clinical/pharmaceutical medicine;
I am 100% convinced Homeopathy/Naturopathy are far more reliable.

I will be going at a degree in a couple years time.
In the mean time I plan on creating my own self-sustainable green garden,
And grow my own food 100% naturally.
Totally into health, and healing the body through healthy foods.
IMO - everybody should get involved in it.
Prevents cancer, prevents disease, and in the event of a crisis
Prevents death.
Homeopathy also has a lot to do with survival skills.

Homeopathy is quackery. Why devote your life to something that is proven to have no effect beyond placebo?

Also, I would say that I'm not 100% convinced of anything. I think you should reconsider all the evidence before you convince yourself that anything is completely true.
