Going for a walk.

Mind where you tread! Especially if you pray with your eyes closed!

When i lived in the midst of where drug dealers gathered on ev'ry corner, i would take "prayer walks", praying over the entire neighborhood, and (seriously, yes), anointing and praying over and claiming even the buildings, the spaces, and even the bus stops and benches for God. Once it was very early morning and two people were sitting on the bench as i was doing this, and they asked me what i was doing. i told them. And i asked if they would like me to anoint and pray over them. They left. I then prayed over and anointed the bench they had been sitting on, and continued praying as i picked up trash, asking God to mooooove mightily, there, in that place, from corner to corner, building to building and even the sidewalks and streets.

It was a "prayer walk" combined with spiritual warfare prayers.

That is wonderful! May the Lord bless and use all those prayers that you prayed,

I did a similar ...much smaller...pray walk with my daughter and her friends many years ago...we prayed for her college, laid hands on the pillars, and I like to think the Lord honoured the prayers as many years later there is a thriving prayer group there now.

I did a similar ...much smaller...pray walk with my daughter and her friends many years ago...we prayed for her college, laid hands on the pillars, and I like to think the Lord honoured the prayers as many years later there is a thriving prayer group there now.

How precious. I suspect He did and still does. Now that i realize it, i realize that it can also be a prayer similar to praying to God to "claim" each place our foot treads upon, like in the Old Testament, when He told the Israelites that every step they trod upon the land would be theirs, that all they need do is put their "claim" on it.

quietbloke, after i posted the above, i realized that why that came to mind, is from what you posted about "tread"....i had never thought of that.
