OK. Quick update on the situation.
Things have kinda been on hold for last few months because of the wedding and officer movements etc.
Spoke to our new Captain yesterday about going back into uniform.
He is on holiday this coming week, but we have agreed to meet up for a chat when he gets back.
I am now worshipping at Knottingly corps (which is almost exactly the same distance away as Selby) because they have the advantage of having an afternoon meeting, which means I am able to attend more often than at Selby (which only has a 10am meeting).
While I was talking to Captain the conversation got round to music and I mentioned that I used to play E flat bass in the band. The Bandmaster happened to be passing at the time and overheard. I immediately got invited to band practice.lol.
Mind you, he hasn't heard me play yet

I understand from Abiel that there are a new set of recruits classes coming out as well, which should be interesting.
But I had to leave before she could tell me more about them.

Sounds as if things are going well for you Andy Its good to find a place to grow in and be challenged in as well as know this is where God has placed me.
Some of the younger ones over here when I was going to the Army actually went out of uniform because as they were growing out of their uniforms, they couldnt afford to replace them... I believe that there are other options now so that they can wear a form of the uniform without as much expense, is that correct or am I dreaming again
Anyway my friend congratulations on all the wonderful changes to your life this year..
